One biker injures two police officers...

I want to wish the Myrtle Beach Police Dept. and all those sent here to assist them, the very best in getting through this event. Thank you for keeping us safe.

Was the NAACP there in their attempt at Operation: Bike Week Justice?

Their Bike Week (fest) hasn't even started, and already there's trouble.

I bet the NAACP gets in on it and it becomes a racial matter. Can't wait till this weekend is over.

Unfortunately,it's not a week just a weekend.Are you happy when the 2wks the Harley's have end? Personally I don't attend neither because MB has never welcomed blacks there anyway so I really don't know why they keep coming yearly to be charged double for everything than what the other bikers are charged.Myrtle Beach has a noise orderance so why isn't it enforced when those loud Harley's are in town.Not to mention all of the DRUG use and the WHORES at SBB(SuckBang and Blow).Guess what I'm white and I disagree with your comment.

White on White...What goes on at SBB is a lot different that what happens on the OPEN street in Myrtle Beach for all eyes to view. I'm is hospitality customer service, and I can't stand either week due to the noise level, but I'll keep you posted on the attitude of the 2 events. It's not a race thing, it's a respect thing...

Not to mention that at one time, Memorial Day weekend was a family mini-getaway weekend, and every year we get families that are clueless as to the events, and end up leaving early out of disgust. Sad, oh so sad, when MB is supposed to be a "Family Beach" :(

White on White, you really don't know what you are talking about. They are not charged double for everything, but if they were it would be justified to make up for some of the damage and stolen (unpaid for) meals. Showing some bare skin inside a place is not equal to showing your bare *** in public or having sexual intercourse in public or urinating/defacating in public. Speak the truth or be silent.

white on white it don't matter what color you are so what if your white your just as bad as they are if you really think what you said is true come on give me a break. i have friends of all colors but this weekend is just pure nasty. besides drive your kids down 17 on both weekends and see which one is offensive to them. You are angry over something did you try to get on back of a harley and they wouldn't let you ride i'm sorry maybe you can ride this weekend?

White on White, if it's supposed to be a weekend...why did they start arriving on Mon.? The unfortunate thing is, that we have to deal with them longer then planned. Their rally is supposed to start Fri.(tomorrow) and end Tues. And reading this article proves there is already trouble.

I have worked at hotels and the rates go up for everyone Memorial weekend. Of course the NAACP sees it as a whole race issue. Screw them!! As a tourist town we lose so much income due to this particular rally.

They keep returning to MB because the city allow the rally to go on. No they are not "welcome" here...because they are disrespectful.

So many feel their behavior has alot to do with their age. I partially agree. But many of these black people were never taught the word "RESPECT." I've worked with enough of them down here. At two hotels they would come into work drunk, and not do their work. Managers would just look the other way. Others would leave work and have their friends clock them out hrs. later. They stole tools, tvs....you name it from the hotels. At other place they were given a raise and worked less. They refused to get off their butts to clean the rooms for Harley week.

I had a manager tell me that they wanted to fire them...but were afraid.

So to me it's not just an age thing. It's the black folks crappy attitude that we "own" them. Respect us and our town and you will received respect in return.

I haven't seen any cops ticketing these speeding crotch rockets. Saw some doing 85-90 over the 544 bridge. Come on cops...you're out there getting the locals every day. Where the hell are you?

they are charged more because it's a holiday weekend, anywhere you go in this country, hotels and campgrounds cost more on holiday weekends. the harley bikers don't steal, vandalize, litter and use our sidewalks as bathrooms like the bikers this week do.

Okay, enough of this racial bickering. It's not a race thing, it's a respect thing. If you have any kind of upbringing at all, you know better than to be disrespectful. Not all black bikers are bad. There are a lot of them out there that I call my friends. I am a Harley rider. Been one for 30 years or more. There's only a hand full of people out there that cause trouble during these rallies. If you get out of hand, let the cops deal with these people. Personally, if you are a true biker, you will practice the code of the road. And for all of you who knows what this means, RIDE ON....

The cops, including the large number who come in from all over to help them, do the best they can in this bizarro-bike-fest and deserve our support for their hard work and overtime.

Why don't the MB police bother the Harley's as they pull in and out of traffic with no concern for cars, and why don't they enforce the noise ordinance during Harley wk???? I have no respect for MB police they think they are a law onto themselves. I hardly think we need to thank them for working overtime, they make a mint during this wk. I sorry but I have seen them act as bully's and I am glad I am not black this wkend.

When was the last time you heard about Harley bikers spinning tires and burnouts on the Boulevard. NEVER! We do them in burnout pits at SBB or HB Spokes! The criminal element that follows BBW rears it's ugly head once again! Hope the cops kicked his @#$!
