His Carville spilled the beans about Kerry's election night plans to Mary, who told Dick, who told Blackwell, if Woodward's book is to be believed. We lost our only state supported ability to count, and provisional ballots disappeared. McAuliffe assured the campaign the polls were protected, and didn't believe in electronic theft. Maybe all placeholders for Hillary? Kerry could not do all the heavy lifting. Where were Dems in support and on defense? Were they told to stand down, or support on paper only?
The media had all the facts about the Swifties from day one, but preferred the entertainment value of possibly true and those purple band-aids (as well as Bush again for deregulation promises).
Not all is what it seems. Although Hillary is smart and capable, she would be as much a win for the GOP in corporate connections, chits owed, with Obama far more policy smart, people smart, than people yet know, and a great listener. Imagine, someone who listens.
We have big fences to mend and problems to fix. I think we need to take a not so risky chance with Obama, and say good-bye to Bill.
Imagine his feeling we needed to endure these last years just for his do-over opportunity.
