Obama has been in an elected position since 1997 as an Illinois State Senator. Hillary Clinton has been in an elected position since 2001 as a New York Senator.

Obama has sponsored and cosponsored many bills related to ethical reform in both Illinois and in Congress. He started a bill to require withdrawing troops by April 2008. Didn't get passed, but you have to admire his enthusiasm. He also started a bill that would have banned deceptive electoral practices. That shows he believes in honesty in elections.

What has Hillary Clinton done? A health care reform proposal that seeks to appease Corporate America. Wasting time starting bills on wedge issues like video games and flag burning. And sucking up to Bush until she eventually decided she was against the war, and then she doesn't admit she made a mistake voting for it.

Obama not only has more experience as an elected official his experience is of a better quality than Hillary's.

It's simply an embarrassment to "simply forward it" for the simple fact that accusations presented in the email are not true, and to pass along information that is verifiable as false is to participate in the lies. These are clumsy lies that attempt to smear Obama.

I am a great admirer of President Bill Clinton.
However, these last days and weeks of watching him come out with these less than honest statements about Senator Barack Obama have made me second guess my admiration for him.
I understand that he's working hard for his wife, Hillary Clinton, and while that, in itself, is admirable and expected, I believe that his efforts are causing a deep rift within the party that may not heal after all this is over, and the Republicans will capitalize on it - yet again!
All three Democratic candidates are more than qualified for the top job, and it is maddening to see the president lowering himself, his wife, his party and his legacy to this level. He has had a golden opportunity to lift all three candidates up during this primary campaign - with special positive emphasis on his wife's numerous attributes and qualifications for the job - without dividing the party and turning the electorate off the system yet again.
On a personal level - please, President Clinton, back off the negative stuff...you know that Senator Edwards, Obama and Clinton are all more than qualified to lead this country, and my fear is that we will all get at least another four more years of Republican mismanagement and wasted lives in a war that is going nowhere and an economy that is tanking and will even even further with them at the helm.
There is no one in the Republican party candidate line up this year that will do anything other than continue the Bush/Cheney's administrative morass that we all find ourselves in.
However, President Clinton, you run the very real risk of alienating a once loyal electorate thereby causing them to stay home in droves out of frustration and disappointment on election day in November and cause a once vibrant country hated and distrusted around the world to become even more so.
If you can't praise your party's candidates and bring a positive tone to this primary season and election campaign later on, for God's sake - back off, go do your good works and leave the process alone. The right person will prevail, the people are not stupid - they know what's right for them and for the country. They know all about being manipulated and lied to - they've had eight years of experience at the hands of a bunch of pros!!!
