The state treasurer's office auctioned off $75 million in deposits to S.C. banks Thurs day, pumping $8.2 million into banks on the Grand Strand.

Wins? Is everyone at this paper completely clueless. The banks put in bids for the money! Meaning they paid for the money! The state treasurer's office auctioned "meaning sold to the highest bidder" the money. It doesn't pump anything into the economy in the way that your poorly written article suggests! Can someone at MBOnline get a GED!

I am a little confused. So the state has all this money, I am assuming from taxes from us, that they lend to the banks and charge them interest and then we have to go and borrow it from the bank at a higher interest rate. How about you cut our taxes and then you don't have all this surplus money sitting around and we won't have to go out and get loans. Paying interest on borrowing your own money. Every economist will tell you, let the working class keep more of their hard earned money and the economy will prosper.

Yeah OK, I believe that one. I have seen some of your comments and points of view and I can not tell that you are one of the "wealthy." Just keep in mind that some individuals and business owners are taken down by the actions of others, especially in this economy. A lot of hard working people are feeling it right now because they invested back into the local economy and because they have been stuck with others unpaid bills. Your simple minded answer proves that if you are wealthy you did it by inheriting it or through immoral means. |

Where in Danny's comment does it state he is poor? Could you be doing what YOU do best - ASSUMING? I read MB Online daily and almost every comment you make is rude, obnoxious and uncalled for. Why are you so cruel? I think most people that read comments on this forum will agree - YOU NEED PRAYER, PROZAC AND SOMETHING ELSE TO CURE YOUR NEGATIVE ATTITUDE.
