It's how the thief managed to walk away with the 1,000 gallons of water inside it without a splash, drip or trace.

This has to be a scam. 1000 gal of water weighs 8,000 lbs (4 tons) in a flexible pool, 10 feet in diameter. Either the water was pumped out or this theft is a pile of BS. Odds are with the BS.

I am in the pool business (Florida), three guys can have that pool in their waiting truck in under ten minutes. Guy #1 lets the air out of the top ring. Guy #2 loads up pump equipment. Guy #3 steps on edge of pool, water starts gushing out, making very little noise. Guys #1,#2, & #3 fold/roll up pool, carry it to truck...done in under ten minutes. As to the question about location of the water? If you have to ask that, you wouldn't/couldn't understand where it is. If you have a property lot of 100' x 100' then it only has to rain 5/32" to equate to 1000 gallons of water. Ask yourself, where does the rain water go 10 minutes after it stops raining?

This story is pretty funny. What's next? Stealing our fences?

Guess someone's wife said "I am hot and I want a pool and I want it yesterday".

A, no yard on that street is even close to 100X100.
B. The yard is pretty close to the Passaic River (google maps if you dont believe it)

They probably siphoned the water into the river or a storm drain and left

It's not a scam. I am in my history class right now with the one of the owners of the pool. they don't know how they did it, but it happened.
