When are the buildings coming down

^an article last week stated that the DMR was allowing the Harris' ample time for a feasibility study of disassembling the boat storage and moving it to a new location (at no additional cost to the DMR)(or DMR cost to demolish if left in place).<<<if anything it would seem the Harris' would atleast have to reimburse DMR for the salvage value of all that metal. I believe the article stated the storage shed would be empty by the end of the month. DMR stated the Lot of the boat shed would be converted to green space and at this time they do not have a plan of use or intention of demolition for the Restaurant.

I "heard" that DMR was considering selling it?!?! Please tell me that it's a small town gossip-fueled rumor!

I don't understand why the DMR doesn't use the building as a Patrol post. It is high enough for observations and its already there. Just my opinion

Here is the latest I heard

The Harris' through their great friend Mr Walker, will mitigate some wetland property in Biloxi and get to KEEP the money AND the dry dock.

I really hope this is just another small town gossip fueled rumor.

The facts are that a trade is being negotiated for a property on back bay in Biloxi. The owner of that property will re-open the boat storage business and restaurant. He and partners were going to build the same on the Biloxi property. This is also being looked at by a certain federal agency to see if all has been proper.Seems strange how all this has been "legal"

The boat shed will open back up once the federal agency signs off. I guess the neighbors that fought it will start a new fight.

Never coming down. They have been trying to sell it since they paid Harris for it.The numbers did not work.Now they have a way of trading for other property that has not sold but has been on the market for 4-5 years. What a way to help a out a failing business cause the owner wants to get out and we the taxpayers paid a premium for something that will now reopen.Ha Ha Ha the joke is on us.

The business was NEVER failing!!!That is what is so bad about the whole deal, that shed was full of boats! Now the restaurant, that may have been failing, but why the hell did fedral money pay it off? That thing was built to flood specs so never in danger of flooding out.

I'll tell you why...Walker and HArris are big buddies from way back.
