Why are the people who run Deepwater little league such hypocrites? They say that it's all about the kids, but in fact if you are not in with them, they don't care about your kid. It seems that all they care about are the 12yr kids, because they are the kids that can actually go far in tournament play. But in my opinion you need to start with the younger ones so that they are willing to stay at the park till they are 12yr. It's funny that all other leagues have patches for all levels of All-Star play but at Deepwater they only give the patches to the 12yr. I know that I didn't sell my candy fundraiser for only the 12yr to have those patches.

i dont believe deepwater board members are hypocrites, they do all that they can for all kids involved, believe me i have played in other orginizations in pasadena and deepwater is by far the best. if you dont believe go play at pee-wee and see the great differnce, there they only car about themselves or there own select teams that most board members have, thats why they r on the boeard to use the park for their own benefit. that place is a hell. there may some issues that come about of course no 1 is perfect, but every1 at dw does care, and with them merging with pasadena little league things will only get better. hope this incident does not discourage u from returning.

sorry that should have been "board" members not "borad" maybe I had so much to say I typed too fast!!! There is really so much horrible drama anyone who really knew the area would have to write a book... maybe we could call it "The GRAY Area", because the league is all about the control they have over many people. And yes I have been involved, I did my time. So don't say I am one of those parents that just sits on the bleachers and bad mouths everything, I did it ALL, I have seen it all first hand...Also experienced all the ugliness firsthand, directed towards me, I felt so SPECIAL...yay me!!

well its pretty obvious by your posting that u have personal issues with them or else u would not be bringing up personal matters into it. it makes u look small and petty, i think everyone has issues everywhere they go but somehow it got personal with u, dont know what happened but we and lots of people i know have a had a different experience, i know people including my self who grew up in the area that have been part of DW over 20yrs since we were kids and there has not been anything major to keep us away. we will stay and try to make it better each year and not run away like a dog with our tail tucked between our legs like u have when things get rough. it is the only way to make a change.

Well of course it gets personal when you see all the disappointed people and kids, if you don't take it personal then you must not care. And as far as tucking your tail in and running, perhaps you just get tired of trying to make a difference when you see the hardheadedness of ignorant people that would rather see a league fall apart then take the advice of others...as long as they come out on top right?? And "baby girl why haven't you signed up the kids gets old?" when you know that one hand is holding the phone and the other is stabbing you in the back with a blunt knife!!! AAAhhhhhhh!!! And yes, I have been in this league for about 15 years as well... it was NEVER this bad. Board members falling off the side like dominoes...not a good history there either.

I read these comments and find it funny. Of course people take things personal, isn't this what we are supposed to do? Do you want to stay "out of touch", let nothing bother you? it SHOULD bother you, you SHOULD take it personal...if you care about YOUR league...dddduuuuuhhhh...get real and start doing something instead of mocking/lecturing people who did TRY to do something about it and just kinda got headaches from constantly hitting the wall!!

have u called the pasadena umpires association to verify the reason they did not show b4 u made any claims idiot. or did u just jump on the bandwagon like everyone else. have u tried contacting the district admin. to ask how all funds are spent and about looking at records, probably not. do u know how much things cost brake-away bases at least $600 per field,machines($1300)batting helmets in dugout($700)roughly,for the parents who cannot afford them for their kids,or the cost of umpires which is about $10500 for 2011 alone, when u add all of the games that will be played this season in every division. do u think the registration alone covers that,at least half goes to uniforms. some improvements are not paid by the city like everyone thinks. But unlike everyone else i have taken the time and made calls to verify info b4 i make assumptions and to be informed about where my money goes. also the reason only 3 teams at DW b4 was cause of boundaries,u dumbass. Not every knows about DW and thats why they would go to pee-wee like i did. But where r they now. DUMBASS!

why r we all being so negative here. I know there are certain issues here as i believe there are with many little leagues. But i am hoping things will change. we cant always assume someone is doing a bad thing, i have met several people who r on the new board and beleive that they genuinely do care, they have put in a alot of personal time to make things better. so i am hoping that we give some of these people a chance to prove themselves and not throw them into the pool with people some might have a resentment for. I know i do not have the time to b there all the time so in a way im glad some one is doing what they can. I will keep an open mind to the new board members and hope that they will do a good job, just asking everyone to keep them a chance please.

If they would let us you idiot!!! Have you tried to get a waiver from PDLL? What a dork, you think people have not tried to get away from the venemous pythons? They would rather 200 kids not play than sign a waiver, maybe that is why at least 100 players went to the other leagues this season, and there is a lawsuit against a couple of folks at Deepwater. And get over it, people are not whining they are just venting. Insanity has as a definition "doing the same thing and expecting different results", so its insane to stay... who am I "I love them baibais, I just wants them to play... snort snort", ps, the snort is not laughter

Does everyone know that according to little league rules no league is suppose to sign any waiver for child to play in another league,i looked it it up. the only reason is for ex. if u played at pearland ll but then moved to say deepwater territory but wanted to continue to play at pearland then they can sign a waiver, cause u came from another league, its what i could figure from what i read. Also the problem seems to b the certain people in charge. I know a few board members that r not happy with the current regime either but r there hoping to make a change, they say if we really want to make a difference all of us in the community need 2 attend the big meeting that happens around october to select board members, cause they r all voted in,but from what i gather no one ever shows up so thats why we always seem to see the same figure head. if we would all attend then maybe the "problem" may not get voted in and the real changes can come. I think we really need to stand together to make changes for the future of our children and our league,i dont want to have to go somewhere else. this is our league and we should try 2 support it,ive been told that when the annual board of directors meeting is scheduled we should all receive something by mail and is posted in the citizen paper, board member i know say they will make sure this happens no matter what and they want us all out to make the changes that we want.like i said b4 lets not group them all in together some r there for the best of the league but they can also only do so much.

I have a new riddle for you guys. Last year Panam & International merged, Deepwater chose not to. Yet this year when PDLL requested a merge (which was declined by Waco)they only requested a merge with Panam? What happened to International (Strawberry Park fields)? Were they dropped because they had too many opinions? You know our dear President only likes you if your opinions match her's...were the parents of the babies too opinionated for her and she knew she could not control them? Maybe the cost of gas for the hummer prevented her from wanting to go too far??? Something to chew on you guys, but I sure wish someone would find out & enlighten the rest of us.

Dazed and confused, i really beleive u r. The old International were the fields on Red bluff and the old pan am was only spiller field located at strawberry park. If u r referring to pasadena pee-wee as the the strawberry fields then i think u r mistaken about something, cause they are not and have never been associated with Little League,so they could not be asked to merge cause they do not have a charter, they were asked to abolish the league so there would be one but they voted not too, instead they went pony. also last year when i received a letter at my home asking if we would like to merge with Pasadena I declined cause i had heard we would lose some of our territory to deer park. Also how could a merger with pan am be asked for when it no longer exists,Pasadena LL and Deepwater LL are the only Little League programs here. Also its funny how Peewee said they voted to not join little league but lots of kids from their program r playing at PLL now. i wonder who counted those votes.

what is going here? we played at pan-am a couple yrs ago and we voted to merger with International which is next to pal gym, the reason was trying to make teams stronger but from what i heard Pan_am was also going under so they decided to merge instead of losing its territory to south houston ll. I dont how anyone would ask to merge with one league but not the other when they r already merged, doesnt make sense, but i agree with "i think u r" that if people r referring to strawbrry fields then they r talking about something completely different cause they cannot b merged, and as far as im concerned the people that r there can stay there, has anyone been there, now that is a circus i would not like coming over to our area, its a mess there. lastly from what i have heard the merger has not been declined but put on hold cause of the mess from a deer park sitiuation.

I can help, as of right now there is only one LL in pasadena, which is pasadena LL, there use to be 2 last year, the original PLL was at the Redbluff fields next to pal gym,but they used to only play ages 9-12, the Deepwater LL was located at ben briar park next to mcmaster elemantary and they did ages 6-12. this year the two decided to merge in order to compete against bigger leagues instead of each other. So both locations do fall under PLL. It seems a little confusing. people will tell u that the merger was declined but from what i hear that is false,LL international only put a hold on the merger because of boundary issues PLL was having with deer park, because they wanted to sue to have PLL relinquish the fairmont area that they wanted.

Well - Well - Well - it seems our trusty friends from the east have chimed in on this bashing. Well, it seems Deer Park Little League has alot to talk about as they have kiddos playing at their fields that live at "Bullritos" on Center Street. Can anyone tell me when they started renting rooms at Bullritos on Center Street. Or maybe it is that they "CHEATED" and falsified addresses to allow their players to qualify for allstars??? The truth is in the paperwork that was submitted to Williamsport. Let's see who the "true liar" is now!! Oh - and by the way - whether the merger worked out or not - you were not allowed any waivers now were ya. Needless to say, this whole forum is a bunch of bullshit started by Maria Guerra, Mimi Garcia and Deer Park Little League. So, if you see any food stamps laying around, they belong to Mimi Garcia and probably dropped giving to Maria Guerra in lieu of baby sitting services (felony). Or if you see any waivers, look closely as they probably contain falsified addresses courtesy of Gary Trujillo and Daniel Fenley. And Gary, it seems your threats and attorneys didnt work out in your favor after all. It guess they saw right thru your bullshit as well as we did (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) Now, who looks like an organization ran by idiots and classless people??? What are you showing the players at your fields? It is OK to cheat?? Now, this is classless and distastefull!!!

I have read the comments and have been with pll 4 three years now. My boys have improved and have had a blast. Its easy for ignorant people to get on here and hide behind a post, but have you attempted to attend a single meeting that hummer has or a single field prep for the fields or is gas to expensive 4 u or is it thats something ur illegal food stamps won't pay for! Don't care about the kids? thats why we have 400 kids plus that are enrolled and play with ppl right obviously somethings being done right. There is alot that goes on behind closed doors alot of time and dedication to make them babies smile the way they do, and the people behind that need a pat on the back which they never get. Have they given up even though its not given? Nope because those kids make it all the wild for them. Do not judge someone and what they do, attempt to do it step up and try don't just sit back and complain because no one likes you or u idiot comments. Pll has been awesome and we will continue to strive for improvements to make it the best learning and enjoyable place for everyone in our baseball family to be proud of!

the only reason you have over 400 kids is because ms gray finally realized she should merge with the other 2 pasadena Little Leagues after not wanting to and DeepWater getting smoked in the All Stars. Unfortunately one of the stipulations was to allow her to be president of the new PLL and the league strives in spite of her becuase of the coaches and parents. But it's like that all over southeast Texas so just hope you child get a coach who teaches the fundamental and makes it fun for them.
