I'd be suing also.since when do colleges run background checks on students?And if they do disallow sex offenders to play on sports teams then it would up to the administrators and not the coach to run the background check.

This was a case of cruel and unusual punishment that PCC's corrupt administration has displayed. They have created another bad image for the college. It is not the responsibility of the coach to report anything of this nature,but the college's responsibility. Now that they have gotten rid of the corrupt former coolege president, now is the time to get rid of the A.D. Beverly Tate. They both are responsible for this embarrassment to the reputation of coach Lawler and to Pasadena City College.

It does not take a year to do a investigation to determine wrong doing. It appears that the administration at PCC blew this and now will pay the price. It appears there is wrong doing on the part of the administration not the football coach.

Two questions, that should be asked. Are the tax payers going to pay this lawsuit that it appears that PCC will lose or will they take it from those who created this mess? Shame on the PCC administration.

Another case of a blunder in hiring an athletic administrator who cannot advise or give the proper information to the president and vice president so they may be able to make an ethical, proper, or legal judgment. As they got rid of Paulette Perfumo they should also get rid of Beverly Tate.
