Leroy Barnes' family files wrongful death claim against city

Whenever else is the video immediately released in an officer-invovled shooting? Uh, rarely, if ever.

Until then, report facts and stop inserting opinions into news.

Hey genius, police videos are released daily. They were invented to defend the police and their actions!

The fact this video is suddenly buried under a deep shroud should tell you to shut your arrogant mouth! Clearly the police have something to defend or in my opinion hide based on what is on that tape.

Clearly Leroy Barnes was not pulled over and treated under Pasadena Police Policy, or that video would have been on everyone's televisions weeks ago!

We should file a class-action lawsuit against the Barnes family for raising a danger to society. Barnes' hsitory tells all.

I am 53. I have been practising martial arts for over 35 years. My instructor is black, most students are of color. What I object to is low life punks like Barnes and yourself who make your own rules and endanger society. Your terrorist threats against the PPD have not gone unnoticed. We simply do not need people like you in society. I am glad you are in Las Vegas. Stay there, it suits you.

Their is an old saying that goes back a long way in American folklore. "You Can't Fight City Hall", and in most cities this is true. But this is good old Pasadena, one of the easiest municipalities to squeeze a buck out of. Don't take my word for this though, just go ask Danny Bakewell.

Now getting to Leroy Barnes, I don't think its a question of winning or losing a lawsuit, its a question of how much the city is willing to fork over. In other words taxpaying citizens of Pasadena, get prepared to compensate the mans family.

The question of right or wrongdoing by the Pasadena Police is irrelevant. Even though a few of us in the know, are sure their a bunch of trigger happy thugs. The bottom line on this is the city is traditionally weak at fighting lawsuits like this, and usually just pay up.

I am glad that the family has shown assertiveness in continuing to pursue the facts and grave errors and prejudice of the Police Department in this tragic incident.
The PPD's 'gag order" on their officers, District Attorney's office fuels the fire of discontent and suspicion the dontinues to plague their relationship with the community.
The longer we have to wait for the results just make the controversy surrounding the killing of Leroy Barnes a conspiracy to cover up what really happened.

to file greedy lawsuits off the dead body of a criminal relative and earn a fat paycheck!

How lowlife these lawsuits are, and we all knew it was coming. The family of a multiple conviction violent criminal suing law enforcement for...what? A rightful death. Dimwitted criminal on parole/probation with a gun, hiding in backseat of car driving down wrong way side of the street got exactly what he gambled for. That's what criminals do, they gamble. Live by the sword, DIE by the sword.

So, I'm pretty much guessing that raising and nurting a violent criminal who has a high probability of an early death is a great way to ensure a future fat lawsuit! Hey, who needs life insurance when we have death insurance? Raise, nurture, protect and defend a violent predator with little brainpower who is bound to continue to commit crimes (such as carrying a loaded gun while on probation or parole) and resist arrest or even a simple police encounter BECAUSE HE'S CARRYING A GUN. Bingo! An expendable relative on whose behalf you can get a big fat settlement!

I don't give a ratsass what color the criminals or the police are, just that the violent predators are taken care of in whatever way protects the rest of the community.

Where would society be without police? You people want to take a chance of living that life? Take your chances - go live somewhere where they are no laws or law enforcement who cares and see what kind of life that is.

How about simply releasing the police video? Is that too much to ask? Us "ghetto rats" are kind of curious to see it.
