Wreck on 641 near DD

Heard there was a bad wreck just north of parsons a little while ago, any news?

Heard 2 or 3 people were killed, but no other details.

I am truck driver and last night I came upon the accident within minutes of it happening. It involved a motorcycle (2 passengers) and a car (driver) the motorcycle smashed head on into the car. The bike was in pieces all over the road. Both motorcycle riders where doa, and the driver of the car doa

That's all I know. I don't know anyone I'm not from the area. I come around to pick up loads every now and then. I would prefer to let the police release their findings before I elaborate any more on the accident

If you like the news leaders page on fb it Tells who it was it was a guy and his wife on the motorcycle both in their late 40s the wife was from out of Mississippi and the woman that was in the car was Peggy Wood , 66 I do believe sorry I don't remember the couples names I do know his name was Darryl I do believe

Any news as to if alcohol was involved?

I honestly have no idea about that but wouldn't be surprised if there was, but maybe it was just bad judgement

A Parsons woman and a couple from Brandon, Miss. were fatally injured Friday, June 29 as the result of a three-vehicle accident which occurred 8 miles north of Parsons on Hwy. 69. According to the THP report, around 10:40 p.m. Darryl Phillip Allen, 49, of Brandon, MS was traveling north on Hwy. 69 on his 2006 Yamaha X17 motorcycle. While attempting to pass a tractor-trailer, the motorcycle collided with a Mercury XR7 driven by Peggy Wood, 66, of Parsons. The motorcycle then struck the tractor-trailer. The accident claimed the lives of both Allen and Wood plus Allen's wife, Carolyn Sue Allen, 47, who was riding with her husband on the motorcycle. Occupants of the tractor-trailer were not injured.

Same one who worked for Henderson/Decatur counties in law enforcement? Or different?

Thanks for the report Donna. And I can say if there was no alcohol involved yes indeed … extremely poor judgement on his behalf. The way he passed me and the speed at which he was traveling surely did not make for a good ending. Its always a sad thing when there is loss of life but when 2 others fall due to the actions of one that simply makes it tragic

its sad Peggy Wood was my daughters neighbor she was a nice lady i talked to her when i was down there visiting my daughter

Such a tragic loss of life.
Was this on a hill or curve? Where did the car come from? We heard it happened in a no-passing zone.

Sad,sad. I travel 641 all the time due to my work. People really drive nuts on there: tailgaters, speeders, people texting, drunks, etc.

THEIR WAS NO DRINKIN INVOLVED so keep your damn comments to yourself especially if u dont kno the TRUTH!!!! I am 20 years old and more mature than yall adults!!! find something else better too do besides sit around all day and start drama!!! And just to let all yall kno... U told it Right. I met you one time and seemed to me like a Very mature YOUNG LADY...I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father 15 yrs. Ago and 2 sisters in the last two year.What pis_sesme off is the fact that so very many people are hooked on prescription drugs now days. WELL MY OLDER SISTER DIED FROM A ACCIDENTAL OD OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ON SUPER BOWL SUNDAy2010She was a retired officer from Ms. Ang 172nd AIRWING. and was 49 yrs.old.she had been to rehab time after time!
Did the Dr./Dr. Who prescribed these meds. Of ZANAX,LOATAB,LORACETT, ECT. GET CHARGED WITH ANY THING? NO, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T CARE TO GO THERE. THAT WOULD NOT BRING HER BACK.
