Get your head out of the sand. It was on the news the other morning. Besides that if the dumb butt hadn't been riding her bike in the middle of the road on a dark road at 10 at night she wouldn't have got hit. She is partially to blame here!

It's perfectly legal to ride your bike on the rode, which happened to be a scenic biking route.

It is illegal, however, to strike someone riding their bike in the road while under the influence of alcohol.

What do you think the parents of the girl feel??? They have the heartbreak of knowing a drunk driver killed their child, don't you think they are depressed ?????? Sorry about his Mother but think of the girls family as well !!!!! What if it had been a child of yours would you be saying what you did????

While the situation is sad, God allows all things to happen. He has a plan and reason for this to occur. We must just trust in him and let his plan be fulfilled. As well, I know Dan Ford very well. Enough to know that this instance was out of character for him. All men fail in life to some extent or another, but they are the ones to answer for it, not you. Please stop the condescending remarks about him for he does not deserve it. Yes this truly is a tragedy, but God has something planned for this family. While you can not replace a child, God has something in the future that will bring them happiness and the closure they need.

Being a Christian myself, I think you're nuts. God gave all of us freewill. Sure, God knew Dan Ford would be a moron and drive drunk, but God doesn't intervene where freewill is involved.

It wasn't out of character. From what I understand, he's hand an alcoholism problem for most of his life.

You give Christians a bad name, sir. You make it out as if the death of their daughter will somehow bring her parents happiness. You're deluded. The ONLY reason that poor girl died was because Dan Ford was stupid enough to drink and drive. Period.

Thankfully, the only thing God has planned for Dan Ford is for him to spend the rest of his life in prison.

DAN FORD quit trying to take up for yourself!!! You killed an innocent person and you have to pay your dues...PERIOD!!! God didn't tell you to get behind the wheel drunk. You should have thought before you acted in such a childish manor. And no this family will not get the closure they deserve because they will never get their Mother , Wife or Daughter back. You are a very sick individual to even say things like that. That girl paid for your stupidity with her life. I hope the Court System makes you pay like this girl and her family has been paying since that awful night some idiot thought he was above the law when he knew what he was doing by drinking and driving. Well Mr Ford you are not above the law and you should pay for your mistakes like everyone else...PERIOD!!!

First off I'm a female! Secondly, I'm obviously not Dan Ford. I wasn't saying God wouldn't punish Dan for his decisions. Actually I said God would somehow replace and fill the hurt caused to the family. As a christian DONTBCURIOUS, you should know God says he would never take something away from a faithful follower without replacing it with something else. Seriously, grow up. We all realize the severity of the issue, but if the girl was saved she has a far better life now than she did here on Earth. I'm not a sick individual either. No I have this little thing called faith, and I know of the promises God has made to those who are righteous and follow in his ways. Dan Ford used to be a good christian man. I can't say anything for how he is now because I've not been around the family in a while. However, I just pray that this girl was saved and that the family will continue to trust in the Lord. And, DONTBCURIOUS, you have an odd way of showing that you are christian. I'm pretty certain the Bible says no one shall judge except the Father and those without sin. I doubt you're any better than the rest of us.

Bring it back to this earth. Delays will reduce a penalty. If any penalty at all. So no jail time because God loves Dan Ford and so does the judge. But if the parents of the dead girl pursue this in civil court he will fear the outcome of that. There is a big difference between Dan Ford and the rest of us. It is the
Money. And the Money shall set Dan Ford free.

This was NOT a part of God's plan! People make choices. SHE chose to ride a bike in the middle of the road on a dark road in the middle of the night.

HE chose to drive drunk!

God gave them BOTH FREE WILL!

People need to stop saying Kate was in the middle of the road. SHE WAS NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAMN ROAD! Go look at the THP marks of where she was hit then was drug and where the truck actually stopped! READ THE STATE LAWS! Wilton Springs is a bike route. Cyclists do not have to wear reflective clothing until one hour after dusk....IT WAS DUSK WHEN SHE WAS HIT! DAN FORD SHOULD HAVE HAD MORE SENSE THAN TO DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE. Look at the other facts: the day after he was released on bond, the breathalizer was installed in his truck, and he went to start it, and blew into the device and it would not start the truck because HE WAS UNDER THE INFLUENCE AGAIN! I agree, he does need help....he has a serious, closeted problem with alcohol...BUT THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE HIS ACTIONS FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND KILLING AN INNOCENT YOUNG WOMAN WHO WAS SIMPLY RIDING HER BIKE HOME....I am sure this would be an entirely situation if Dan Ford hit a small child riding a bike with his or her parents...and killing the small child. No one in this county would be blaming the child like you are blaming Kate...SHE WAS NOT AT FAULT...SHE WAS RIDING HER BIKE LIKE SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO DO. She was not doing anything wrong. She did that on a daily basis...Dan Ford, however, DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE. And I am pretty sure money will not get him off. Her parents have more money than he does and they will seek justice for their daughter outside of the backwards, good ole boy system and outside of those who think just because Dan is "A GOOD CHRISTIAN MAN" that he does not deserve to rot in jail. A GOOD CHRISTIAN WHO FOLLOWS GOD'S WORD DOES NOT CONSUME ALCOHOL.....Let alone be well over the legal limit, kill someone, and then tell confusing stories to the highway patrol, and be completely confused on which way he was even traveling down Wilton Springs.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
