I think if Obama wanted to win my vote, he'd call a tax amnesty. Anyone who owes back federal taxes gets a pass and an amnesty. Think of the money that would be let loose into the economy!

It'd be interesting to know how his ranch and his finnaces got to be in such a bad state. Maybe the Meth heads have moved further out??

And how many ranches have you managed?

I'm happy for the man and his family. He sounds like a decent young man.

the total amount they put on the billboard is the "annuity value" if you take equal installments for 20 years. If you take the lump sum it is much lower due to the time value of money. Goodle net present value for an explanation of how money now is worth more than money in twenty years. What is actually recieved would be taxed as regular income with the majority coming in at the highest marginal rate.

Funny how things are in our society. Get rich randomly and it's celebrated. Get rich by skill, determination, hard work, and sacrifice and the Left hates you.

I simply was curious about his finances, save your judgementalism for real issues.

Aries

In recent weeks you've been quite concerned about a loved one, and things are likely to come to a head as Mercury turns in your mid-heaven. You may be able to solve the problem simply, which will be a relief all round, but there's a chance that you may have to do some serious thinking or get some expert advice before you know exactly what your next step should be. You may have to take official action of some kind.
