oh wow i'm glad i decided to google this place and found this conversation before actually going in to interview. I had gotten a call too and couldn't find any information about the company so I was very suspicious. I definitely won't be going to that interview

Thank God for the internet. My theory is if you are not willing to post what exactly you do on the internet then or explain the job description to the interviewee then there's something fishy about the job. i am not going to travel 30 minutes to speak to someone for some door to door hustle that's not even promising. Krista you cancel my interview. "progessive marketing firm"...my ass. Thank you all for the info and hope we all find an emplyoment that's not so fishy about what they do.

Just recieved and email from them saying my profile fits what the company is looking for thanks to this website I will not be going on that interview. I always do research on a company I am interviewing for and couldnt find anything on them RED FLAG!!! And the so called employees writing in good job I really dont believe you are a real company for sure. Thanks for forums like these.

Have to always wonder about a company that has so many job openings and will hire people with no experience whatsoever. I am looking at getting into public relations and to me, that doesn't mean sales. I am completely done with retail sales. I am very good at it, have management experience, but I am never really satisfied by what I am doing and I usually end up really disliking the people I work with or for.

I too wanted to read up about this company and research it to see if it was legit. I found their website which has at least two typos on it. How professional is that? That is what you are presenting to the world?

To the two "employees" why don't you post on here again about who you really are, and what it is that you both do. What do you mean by "store promotions?" Do you stand around in a store with free samples to hand out or what?

Its BS. They changed their name to from Bulldog Marketing. They want you to go door to door, and Ive heard you sell coupon booklets. No salary.
They do not sell coupon books. and the name changed because it is under new ownership. I asked all of these questions at my in terview and got a clear response no BS. They were very straight forward with me. It is a good opportunity and if you are unemployed you should not be picky about what you are offered. They work with big name companies like SEARS and Home Depot and you know those companies would not just hire anyone.

I just submitted my resume on their website from a Craigslist ad that wanted people for entry-level management and a junior marketing person. I was kind of surprised when I got an email ten minutes later saying they had reviewed my resume already and had chosen me for an interview. Probably about as sketchy as when I got sucked into a "marketing internship" at Aflac that was nothing but pure sales and they'll hire anyone and everyone to flood the market at no cost to them.

I too have been contacted by Bear Concepts. They say this is their busy season so hurry? What do they market? Sell, Do? I can't make heads or tails from their homepage? Does anyone know anything? I would appreciate any help you could give.
They e-mailed me saying it was their busy season, but if their busy season was in the summer, how can this also be their busy season. I have an interview with them tomorrow at 11am. Guess I'll find out what this is all about.

All Krista told me was that the interview was for an entry level management position and they would train me from the ground up. What did they tell you, ReisterstownGirl?

They asked me if I'm currently employed and when I said no it seemed like they really wanted me there...I think they think I'm desperate since I got laid off 5 months ago! Not desperate enough to do door-to-door sales! I'm going to cancel mine too.

If you are an employee, tell me exactly what you do for the company? If it is so great, why is the website so poor? I, fortunately, have a job but I have warned people not to believe in having someone call you on the phone and not tell you anything about the company. If the company is reputable, they would be able to discuss the exact details of the position, goals and responsibility. Don't take advantage of people that are hardworking and trying to earn a living earning a stable income.

Yeah,I tried the aflac thing several years ago. Didn`t take me long to figure out that AFLAC was joke. If you see a company that is ALWAYS hiring, that should tell you something.

Yesterday

I received a call from Bear Concepts...I also tried to do some internet search on the company and could not find a website or anything else on the company. So I was thinking something wasn't right about this company if I could not even find a website. So this morning I googled the company and came upon this site. I have no plans of driving 1 hour and 30 minutes to go sit for and hour and a half listening about doing sales door to door no thank you. Thanks to you all for your posting. It would have been a waste of my time going out there and I would have been agited cause the woman who called me was very vague on the phone and only told me that it was a entry level management position when clearly I have over 10 years experience in management on my resume.
