Give me the exact resort you are staying in and the prices AFTER TAXES AND FEES, not before. Post the itinerary and I will find it for you in 5 minutes on a normal travel search engine. Put your money where your mouth is. I bet you $1000. Just leave out all the personal information and copy the rest on the blog. I BET YOU WON'T DO IT. Rovia members are dreamstealers and lie to themselves like no other. They run like little beotches when somebody tries to prove something to them and argue with anecdotal BS with no facts.

I just started and I am a little scared because I don't understand the whole thing. I did understand that signing 4 people I won't have to pay for the monthly fee which ultimatley is what I want

I've been with World Ventures for a month and a half and I've got commission from people booking travel on my website. Everyone knows someone who is gonna travel and despite what people say, WV has all 50 attorney generals working at their side 24/7. I've made my money back and I get paid this Friday and next Friday. For people who think this is a pyramid scheme, the definition of a pyramid scheme is the exchange of money without products/services being given. When you invest in WV, you get the Dream Trips membership, the Leisure Travel Consultant package, and the 24/7 Concierge service. What do you say to that?

Thanks for some positive comments. I've been in WV a month and I still have a lot of questions. It's very important to me that if I'm going to ask my friends and family to join me in this adventure, I want to be sure I'm not leading them astray. Any of you WV reps out there - what are the biggest selling points for you? There are several people on my team that I trust completely, and they are definitely making an income every Friday. I have had a slow start (1 so far), but I'm counting on "slow and steady wins the race". I just want to build solidly and believe in my products. Can you help me with your own experiences?(I'm not looking for bashing or "scamtalk" - just people who have treated this like a business and worked through any questions they've had)

I am currently looking a WV as an opportunity and I have already looked into David Pietsch's background. What I find funny is if your going to make a comment you should know what your talking about. Dr. Pietsch is a licensed Chiropractor in MN his license was suspended in 11/05 because he hired 2 people to recruit car accident victims to his practice. Basically ambulance chasing and his license was suspended for unprofessional conduct. The link you provided in your comment says the case between Progressive and Peitsch was dismissed. Now I am not sure if I am going to join WV or not but when I see posts like this it bothers me. I was professionally licensed for securities for 13 years until several surgeries caused me to sell my practice. You should consider yourself lucky that your not sued for your statements because miss information can destroy a person career. Please use caution when making bogus statements. If you would like to read about Peitsch Google "Minnesota Board of Chiropractic" and you will find the link to the complaint and you can educate yourself.

WorldVentures profits off of their 70% failure rate. Their high pressure sales tactics are used to intimidate people into making a rash decision.
Slides such as "Momentum" displayed above and verbal misrepresentations being made regarding the status of the company and the immediate potential earnings.... Other sales tactics such as the slide dipicting "YOU" out to the left and "BOB" in your place in the pyramid therefore, "BOB" is going to get all the profits "YOU" missed out on because you didn't sign right then and there- is another example of misleading the prospect..... Only handing the recruitee a 2 page contract (and in some cases only 1 of the 2 pages, as mentioned in this thread) and verbally telling the recruitees "It's just a standard contract". Yet, the 2 page contract contains stipulations that the recruitee agrees to abide by a Detailed Compensation Plan and Policies & Procedures, neither of which were provided to recruitee to read/review, nor were those agreements even verbally disclosed..... Utilizing misleading sales techniques from companies the FTC shut down for deceptive practices, i.e. "MOMENTUM"... Omitting and deceiving the public of the involvement WV executives truly had with "companies with less than stellar reputations".... Training new reps to use deceptive tactics when inviting prospects to meetings "Be in a hurry", "Keep from explaining"... I personally witnessed a WV Representative state they are claiming certain tax deductions, in an attempt to lead prospective recruitees into believing they too could get said tax deductions by being a WV rep, when in fact those particular deductions he stated he was claiming are not allowable AT ALL per IRS regulations (confirmed by my attorney)... I also personally received an email from a WorldVentures rep stating she had "gotten all her money back" that she originally invested in becoming a WV rep through WV profits. Further investigation revealed she actually had a several hundred dollar loss.... In my world, these tactics are unethical, and in some cases - even illegal. Preying on people's emotions, exploiting their trust, and sending them away with a financial loss and a sense of shame through a feeling of failure. Couple that with the high unemployment rate right now, a perfect breeding ground for more victims, victims desperate and willing to accept just about anything they are told just so for a glimpse of hope that they can provide for their family. |

SirLeapin,
Sorry I posted a link that wasn't specific enough about David Pietch. Let me correct that for you from the state board's website: The guy on the "annual income disclosure form" here: https://www.worldventures.info/pdfs/ids2007Q3 ... "Dr. David Pietsch" is not even a doctor. He has had his license revoked by the state of Minnesota twice: http://www.mn-chiroboard.state.mn.us/newslett... Wait here come the Rovia/WV next post, don't belive everything you read on the internet, not even if a State Government has found you guilty and revoked your license! I'll put it this way, guilty or not in a court of law it is nearly impossible to get your license revoked by a state agency. You have to really screw up. It just goes to show his lack of credibility and willingness to lie through his teeth to make a buck, just like the rest of the DreamStealers at Rovia World Ventures. Challenge me again SirLeapin...I'll slaughter you with facts about Rovia every time. |
||||
|
NoMatter,
Those "packages" you get from Rovia are basically nothing. That is the point. You are paying hundreds of dollars for a duplicated website that barely works and a travel club that charges you $500 per year in fees which is ridiculous. You just have no understanding of web technology or business so it APPEARS to be something when it is really nothing. How much money have you made from your straight sales from your website since you are claiming you made something? I bet it is under $20. |

Jagger7721 are you still in World Ventures? I want to know about this business opportunity. |

I continue to find it funny that when presented with the truth - WorldVentures' reprensatives attack and attempt to belittle those that challenge them.
As Idaho Mom so clearly does here - "I continue to find it funny to read such ignorant post[sic] from all these people that don't understand network marketing" Just to clear up any confusion, Idaha Mom -[sic] is a method by which an author (in this case, myself) indicates the quote presented (in this case a quote from you) contains a grammatical or spelling error. The author wishes to make sure the readers know it wasn't the author that made this mistake - but the person they are quoting. |

I have just recently been introduced to World Ventures, StupidCheapTickets.com , and I was shocked the prices of dream trips, I thought can this be possible the price was so cheap. I went on a $49.00 cruise in September and had the time of my life while all my co-workers were at the office slaving away. I plan on taking all my family this Christmas on another Dream Trip, they don't know yet, I am going to tell them over Thanksgiving. This is going to be the best Christmas ever. It is not a scam and I am living proof of it! I feel so blessed to have been introduced to World Ventures. I can now afford to take more than one trip a year and I can also take my family!

Dear Becky,
Do me a favor and scan your itinerary after taxes and show me the whole deal. I know for a FACT you are lying because taxes and port fees are more than $49.00, let alone if you are from out of state. What was the TOTAL PRICE after everything was said and done. You Rovia DreamStealers keep promising things and then crushing your friends hopes and dreams. You should be a shamed. I went on a $99 cruise 2 months ago booked directly through Carnival Cruise lines in San Diego. After all of the fees were tacked on it was around $170 for 3 days. So basically if you got the cruise for $49 and I got it for $99, but you are paying $500 in fees per year, you'd have to go on a cruise every 2 months to break even or beat me on the year. Did you go on 6 cruises this year? 6 vacations? Go crawl back under your rock. |

A gentleman writes about his experience from being invited to a WorldVentures Presentation:
"Tom comes back around to tell me what a great deal this is. At some point he decides we must be kindred spirits.“$400 is not a lot of money to people like us. We throw that down for dinner” he says. This is untrue on both our parts. I know for a fact that I don’t spend that much on dinners. Even most 5-Star restaurants I frequent don’t get over $120 per person. I guess if I ordered wine with the meal, then it might go over, but I don’t really drink. And I’m even more certain this guy isn’t throwing $400 down on dinner. Not if he’s trying so hard to pry lose a couple hundred from me. The fact is,$400 is a lot of money. It’s a lot more than I would have to spend on a new Kindle, which I really want, but don’t buy because it costs $359." An Representative from WorldVentures' response: "The fact is that if these peoples' only car broke down and it was going to cost them $400 to fix it, they would come up with it.$400 is nothing in todays world. It's one electric bill. If you don't have $400 saved up after 20 years in the work force, whatever you are doing needs to change. How exactly will they build a retirement from that? It's an excuse for staying lazy." So - my question to the person reading this right now - do you have $400 to flush down the toilet? If so, the above WorldVentures Rep would like to speak with you. |

Lisa and Markmax...I've been following this thread since I found it, and I want to thank you for being so diligent about posting on this thread to clue people in on what they might be getting involved in.
Lisa, you quote GOGO, so you are obviously a REAL travel agent, or have access to that pricing. It just baffles me how so many people want something for nothing, and yet are wiling to spend so much wasted money on this crap called World Ventures. I run a legitimate TRAVEL AGENCY, that sells TRAVEL, and as a REAL Travel Agent, I am entitled to discounts too. Gosh, I am going on a 3 day Princess Cruise, 4 people for under $650 with a TA discount...all taxes, fees, transfers, gratuities...and it is a REAL discount, earned because I really, truly sold a product...in this case, other Princess cruises. I am going to New York on Thursday to see the brand new Carnival Dream when it arrives into the US from being just built. I was invited, FOR FREE. Why? Because I sell REAL Carnival product, and make REAL commission. Guess how much I pay to do that? NOTHING! Guess how much my agents pay to have the privlege of booking travel through my company? NOTHING! Guess how much more they make if they "sign people up?" NOTHING! If you out there really want to be involved in selling and profiting from travel, research online host travel agencies. Don't spend your money stupidly on some company that pressures you to coerce your family and friends to write checks. I was able to quit my "real" job and now I sell travel for a living...dream job? YES! But all it cost to get started was a website and some business cards. Just use your head...seriously. If it sounds shady, why get involved? |

Hmmm. you might be a bit off on this. Here are the real costs per year...... The signup costs for all three "products" as they call them is $360 for the first month. After the original signup cost, the monthly cost is $79.00 for a yearly cost of $948. The savings that I have seen are just not there on the Rovia site. I also have been able to find cheaper vacations and cruises on other sites. Overall though I agree with your findings. It's just that the actual costs are much higher. Lost friend and angry family members are also part of the costs. Money is lost but being a social outcast often results from people who push their MLM and WV on people. I am a former MLM junkie and was a member of WorldVentures. I also was part of American Home Products, Ecoquest, Amzoil, Max International and finally WorldVentures. It finally hit me that I was not going to make it in a business that takes advantage of others to make money. Ileft the MLM "lifestyle" and am glad I did. |
