Sadly, many incidents of violence and/or suicide have been linked to adolescents taking prescription antidepressants.
Antidepressants and all psych drugs are known to spark manic episodes in people suffering from psychiatry. Was James Holmes the "Batman shooter" taking this stuff ?
This website is a collection of 4,800+ news stories with the full media article available, mainly criminal in nature, that have appeared in the media (newspapers, TV, scientific journals) or that were part of FDA testimony in either 1991, 2004 or 2006, in which psych drugs are mentioned.

Was James Holmes an alien from the Planet Zarkwon 7? There is just as much evidence of that as there is for him taking taking antidepressants. Until we actually know, why speculate?

We only need to ask one simple question : What psychiatric drug was he taking or withdrawing from? Sometimes simple questions are the hardest to ask.
Those questions would be real real hard for the media to ask, because after reporting the event, taking station breaks for advertisements for antidepressants and other psychiatric drugs might give big media editors and producers indigestion , since they kind of depend on Big Pharma sponsorship.
Ask the question Mr T.V reporter: What psychiatric drugs was he taking when he did the shooting ?

I went to the prayer meeting that morning and survived this shooting at Heath High School. I firmly believe Carneal wasn't acting alone. There were others involved but chickened out at the last minute. So this one wasn't completely ADHD meds.

I have been on antidepressants most of my life. I have never felt like hurting anyone.

Both clinical trial and pharmacovigilance data point to possible links between these drugs psychiatric drugs and violent behaviours.

The point here is that pharmaceutical drugs are just as dangerous if not more so than illegal drugs or substances which are legal like cigarettes or alcohol that have caused death.

If you look at the smile he had on when they took the picture, it is eerily similar to the person who shot the congresswoman a couple of years ago. So, YES! He was on antidepressants. Which is why I will never take them, or allow my children to take them. The antidepressants side effects are worse than the depression itself. And who said you had to be happy all the time? Without having the sad times, how will we know when we are happy?
These "medications" are sold just to make money for the doctors and the pharmaceutical companies. The pursuit of profit rather than good health has brought us to this point.

To the one repy I got: I am not tracking one comment. I am reading and listening to the news constantly because my sister and her date were brutally murdered. They had just left a theatre from seeing a movie. Gov. Bush helped me find the killer. I feel for all the victims and their families. I know how they feel. Been there.

I notice that some doctors will prescribe drugs when a patient brings up depression, fatigue, or any muscle ache. Therapist can help get to the emotional problems, yet many people avoid feeling emotions and go for the "quick" fix. Even Sage Stallone had addictions to prescription pills, according to his close friend. We need prescription med control along with Gun Contol!

Peter Breggin speaking to the House of Representatives about this issue.
Maybe if he'd been shouted down with insults like "yer a tin hat looney!", or forced to shut up,(as I have been over the past eight years every time I bring up the topic of vaccine injuries), maybe then the media would've shown this testimony on the nightly news (between pharma commercials.)

THE INTERNATIONAL COALITION FOR DRUG AWARENESS
Friday, July 1, 2005, the FDA issued strong warnings about the dangers of antidepressants and increased risk of suicide. But we need to ask if their warning has gone quite far enough and how many have needlessly lost their lives to these drug in the interim due to the lack of any warning?
By way of introduction I am Ann Blake Tracy, Ph.D., Executive Director of the International Coalition for Drug Awareness. I am the author of Prozac: Panacea or Pandora?– Our Serotonin Nightmare. The last 15 years of my life have been devoted full time to researching and writing about SSRI antidepressants. For 13 1/2 years I have testified and consulted as an expert witness in cases involving antidepressants. Some of the more high profile cases being: comedian Phil Hartman's murder/suicide, Columbine, Red Lake and other school shootings, the Atlanta Day Trader shooting and many other workplace violence incidents in which antidepressants were involved. In September of 1991 and again in February and September of 2004 I testified before the FDA Advisory Committee on this issue.
The simple fact is that when LSD goes into the brain it mimics the neurotransmitter, serotonin. Antidepressants work by impairing one's ability to metabolize serotonin so that over time the level of serotonin begins to rise. So why are we surprised when we see those on antidepressants doing things we would expect to see from someone on LSD?
For many decades now medical research has shown that impairing serotonin metabolism will produce migraines, hot flashes, pains around the heart, difficulty breathing, a worsening of bronchial complaints, tension and anxiety which appear from out of nowhere, depression, suicide – especially very violent suicide, hostility, violent crime, arson, substance abuse, psychosis, mania, organic brain disease, autism, anorexia, reckless driving, Alzheimer's, impulsive behavior with no concern for punishment, and argumentative behavior
Just ask the question: What psych meds was he taking ???

Ok so what do you recommend? Is there a better option. Is it the anti depressants or the person? Obviously these people were put on medication due to psychological issues so how can you blame it on medicine alone.

This could very well be a case of mania due to not taking medication to control bipolar disorder... Mania can rob a person of sleep and can last a long time and make people do some crazy things...

People are being mislead by a multi billion-dollar a year drugging industry that a diagnoses of "mental disorder" (ADHD, Bi-Polar, Social Anxiety Disorder) are medical diseases or illnesses. This is a fraud. No child or anyone has a brain scan, blood test, X-Ray or any evidence of physical abnormality to verify they are "ill" or "diseased."
Yet psychiatrists continue to pound the public with misleading and fraudulent statements that these so called mental disorders are biochemical or neurological conditions. That is false. They are simply a list of behaviors that psychiatrists vote into existence and insert into their billing bible, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
They make billions of $ selling this stuff.

Drug induced mania is not bipolar.
