If everyone feels so strongly that this is the wrong move and was concocted in a "back room", you should all pool some money, hire an attorney, sue the city and seek an injuction stopping this madness.

The city council unanimously approved this deal. It was publicly announced on Wednesday, November 11 and it must close by Friday, November 20! The public hearing was a farce. The council members had minimal questions and minimal discussion, obviously it was a done deal - done behind closed doors in the darkness of city hall corruption. Council member Jim Heir was the epitome of all that with his arrogant, condescending attitude. The city manager should post online the "appraisal" he claimed they used to justify the price. This is total horse sheet. Where is Phyllis Robinson's husband in all of this????On Boyer's payroll??

This arrangement gives the City two years to agree to any development plans that Boyer comes up with.
If the City does not agree to Boyer's plans, then the City pays Boyer another $5.5 million, plus interest, for the dirt.
Is that money currently being held in escrow?
If not, the City has NO leverage.
This deal does not give the City "input" on the development, it is just an insurance policy for Boyer, provided by the taxpayers, without our knowledge or agreement.
If land values continue to slide, Boyer can reap a nice profit simply by refusing to cooperate with the City.
The City is the "weak sister" in this arrangement. Why did they negotiate for that status?
If only we had some real estate experts working for the City - they would know that locking in a price for raw dirt in the middle of a real estate value crisis is a win/win only for Boyer.
Oh, wait...

They don't suck, "Paying attention." I know all of them personally and i would like to see YOU up there, and see how YOU handle all of these situations. Park City is an awesome town, and bashing ME sucks. It's people like YOU that need to go in a corner and suck your thumb because YOU feel better for not only bashing the City, but for bashing someone who is trying to look at the POSITIVE side of this awesome ski town.
