new business in PC

lets get some energy flowing....what type of business do you think PC needs most?
1. restaurant.....then what type, kind of food, etc.
2. grocery
3. factory
any other business?
lets build our dream town.

i would like to see a home cooking restaurant locate here. veggies, fried chicken, fish, roast etc. there are many older people here who would benefit from this. many find it hard to prepare their own meals. also everyone could use a change from all the fast food places around. If anyone in the surrounding area is thinking about opening such a restaurant, look into a location in P.C. if you served good food at affordable prices, i think you would do good. I'm hoping the new dollar store will help out in the grocery department.

I would like to see a bed and breakfast and have a carriage ride at the old hotel across the rail road tracks, from spring to fall. ride all the way to mammoth cave and back.
see the only hotel redone and have new owers who care about it.
have a small museum in town.
have our own train that takes people to cave city, and to Bowlingreen.

some good ideas diane. we have train tracks now to Glasgow. and not too very many years ago a train ride was offered between PC and Glasgow. Would like to see that started again. lots of people have never rode on a train. kids would love it (i.e new haven, ky has certainly made a go of it). with advertisement, etc. it just might be a success. the old hotel would be a great place for weddings, other celebrations. oh if only i had the money...... dreams, dreams.

I think we should have a place like Brownsville does. They have a jamboree with a house band every Saturday night from 7-11. They have a (small) snackbar. We could have some BBQ, hamburgers, corn dogs, hot dogs, maybe a buffet with home cooking, cotton candy, popcorn, all kinds of soft drinks, a dancefloor where people can dance, and karaoke during the break for the band... it would be a great place to bring a family, and might create an incentive for more business in Park City...

yes and lets put it right next to your house for they can keep you up till 1 am and park in your driveway and litter your yard--great idea

theres a place up the road just like NEED described--its called SPILL way AND its in bowling green open 7 days a week-good food there-dancing-pool. thats where stuff like that is at..don't try to have a honkey tonk at your neighbors back door.

Oh and may I mention that it would be alcohol free, which would provide a better family atmosphere

Well if we could ever get that stupid old shop/building that brad graves used to have his towing service at torn down and that shit cleaned up we could have a building like that, that had music, pool tables, darts, and some food. That would be a perfect place because theres alot of space there and its almost outta town and you wouldn't bother many people there.

We do need a resturant. The Dollar General is ONE step in the right direction!

I do agree with Diane I wish we could run off the people that own the hotel now! I miss the days that the pool was open and they only charged a couple dollars to swim there in the summer!

What we need is a policeman, I would have never built a Dollar Store in a town next to I65 that did not have a police Dept. That place will get broke into or held up mark my word.

what about a farmers market in town it would be small but aleast we would have one.

I think it should also be smoke free so those allergic to smoke could enjoy themselves. I've heard a lot of people around here looking for something close that was smoke/alcohol free.

only trash goes to spillway and the kids are left home we are in a dry county or can does park city fall under the same law as cave city and as for the food at spillway who wants the waitress thats been all over the bar fixing food then you can't get a seat and there's more drinking in the bathroom than on the floor and the people that live there take up or hold all the good tables for their friends it need salot more room

The people in Park City will never Change. There scared of it. I'm SHOCKED they allowed a Dollar Store to come in. And you People that are asking for home cooked food, didn't Park City already have two of them and the Fine people of park city would not support them but that's not a shock. But now that there gone your asking for more? Don't make any since.

you can't expect old people to go to a place where most of the people are on the jail web site most now of the time?? now you know thats true. hell they walked the streets till 3 am--I KNOW THEY WOKE ME UP THEY MADE SO MUCH NOISE--wild people-drug people-at least thats why they were arrested last month
