Prostitution Sting in Wichita

Why doesn't the police department spend their time chasing real criminals and leave the prostitutes and johns alone?
Prostitution has been here since the dawn of time and I doubt if our cops are going to get rid of it anytime soon.
It seems so stupid to use our expensive resources to prosecute hookers for charging for something that isn't illegal to give away for free. How is picking up a woman at a bar and treating her to dinner and drinks any different than paying her cash directly?
It's just one more misguided and wasteful policy of the Wichita Police Department.

If legealized and regulated like they do in Neveda I agree. However when it is unregutalted and there is no protection for either the prosatute or the john then there are to many other issues. These issues include desiese, drug use, and other unlawful acts such as robbery and black mail just to list a couple of things. That is the reason why most law enforcement spends so mucu time chasing prosatues. It is not the fact that someone is welling to pay for what is given freely by a few for dinner and drinks.

police love solicitation stings because it is FUN.
in California the cops cruise date sites for beautiful single ladies looking for relationships..when they find a pretty one the cop/pig will court her until the lady will meet for dinner & drinks....then after a few drinks arrest the lady for prostitution

I find it hilarious that the Wichita PD has finally removed the pictures of prostitutes they have arrested.
I sent them an email 2 years ago, explaining that they were endangering the lives of these women by posting their photos....making it easier for anyone to know exactly what their local Ho looks like, and then stalking them, or seeking them out to further their careers as paid sex workers.
It now says on the Patrol North webpage:

The Department has learned that these photographs and information were being used for purposes that the Department feels were inappropriate. Because of this inappropriate use of information by individuals outside law enforcement, the Department has suspended our practice of posting this information.

Well DUH! I tried to tell them this would happen over 2 years ago, but as usual when dealing with small-town, tobacco-chewing, neanderthals with a badge, they obviously could not comprehend what I was trying to tell them.
Something is wrong....the WPD seems to have suddenly hired someone with a brain. That is not standard WPD procedure. Someone needs to fire this individual, so they can continue to uphold their standards of stupidity.

Thank you for stepping up to protect these disease infested women.

Shoudln't be illegal in my book but cops are just people too and we all show bad judgement at times.... But I am a chick and there is NO difference between paying her way in a date and getting some at the end of the night and just forking over some money... And if they are such a person that can't do anything but that to earn money than maybe they need help and not a criminal record to make living that much harder. It's these idiots in the churchs that say whats "moral" and not... Yet I seem to remember something about Jesus saving a whore... But I do not have anything to do with religon so I coud be wrong..

I mean you have to register as a sex offender with the pedi's.... It's just wrong... They are mentally off or a little lost but not criminals and absolutely should not be place with the pedi's!!!!
And Wichita PD is wrong for posting their pics online... What hope do they have at that point to be better? They will always be that hooker!

Really?? No Difference? Unless a Woman is an out and out Whore, she doesn't sleep with everyone that buy's her a burger. Prostitutes basically Sleep with "ANYONE"....and the Majority of the "Johns" are Carrying Disease from Hooker to Hooker.....to ...Home. I'm Not Judging those women who feel they have no other options....many were sexually and mentally abused. It's Value.... Whether it be Male or Female...people need to learn to "Value" themselves, everyone Loves Sex...but it is reduced to the lowest common denominator when it is sold.
