If you recently received a letter stating that you have won a Mercedes Benz, a Cruise or a hugh amount of cash.....BEWARE. They are at it again...go to Dallas Tx AVC Travel on the computer and read some of the letters from people that tried to collect their prizes. It all sounds so real, BUT IT IS A SCAM

Intresting... I filled out a slip in a Houston Mall.. they had a couple of cars sitting in the middle and they where raffeling them. anyways I filled it out and got it back in the mail.. the original slip that I filled out saying that I won.. I called the place and they said I was guaranteed to go home with one of the prices listed but the only catch was a 90 minute resort presentation... my question is if it was a scam why whould I get the original slip that I filled out in the Mall?????

Those time share things have been going on for at least 30 years. I never fill out anything for a drawing at a mall or the state fair.

so I went to the 90 minute presentation.. and the prizes are real although the odds of winning the money or cars are high, you still get the trips and the only thing you worry about is the tax, but I won two trips and they gave me the 40 dollar visa card as promised.. the only drag is that they will try and convince you to buy a timeshare but if you say no a couple of times they will get the point.

If there are strings attached (listen to our presentation), then it's not a free trip. If you don't mind that sort of thing, go for it. Personally, I'm just not that desperate for a free trip. I'll just pay my own way.

I saw on another website that the boarding passes for the trips were fake. Were they?

The trips are real.. it is a timeshare so they will try to convince you to buy a timeshare but if you are good at saying no then you walk out with at least two free trips.. you just have to pay for the taxes.

please do onot fall for this scam . i went yesterday so excited thinking i was going to win something big. but insted it was sales men trying to make me buy time share for vacations . which is ridiculous. 9,000! get out of here! at the end they give you a cruise to the bahamas . but u have to be over 21 and have to depposit 100. and an additional fee of 150 to park your car on the dock. so if your intrested on going to a 250 cruise for two go ahead and go. but if you dont got the money. dont even think about it ! heads up!

In the letter you received did it say you would get the prize as long as you did the 90 minute thing? My wife just got the same thing and were curious.

OK so Timeshare is not a scam. I have won tickets at Orlando for Disney twice now worth 100 each visit. How do they make money simple, from the suckers who say yes at the "90 minute presentation" i was ruthless and kept saying no, the guy even said at one point are you just here for the tickets and i said yes! he was OK then he got his manager who gave me another long speech then they let us go and we collected our ticket (i dont really remember now if it was voucher and got the tickets at the Disney booth or they gave us the tickets) but non the less the Disney tickets were sponsored by the timeshare folks. So yes its very real just keep saying no, they will even say can you really not even afford $20 a month for this program or even $20 a year, just be like sorry NO. And take your gift or prize and go home. It you have 90 minutes to kill and have are ruthless enough to say NO like a million times then go get yourself a decent prize, its very real guys its not a scam.

I received one of these yesterday. I am very excited that I have the chance to win $49000, some nice cars, a trip to Jamaica or wherever,$1500 shopping spree, or $500
I just have to go collect the prize
The thing is I'm 20!!!! Why would they sell to me I have no way of paying for a time share. I don't understand why they would send me this. I just have to show up there and collect my prize. The lady on the phone said I didn't need to take any tours or anything just show up and collect my prize. So I'm wondering, my parents said it was a scam, but why would I be targeted. Do they not understand I am 20? Is this a scam? On Monday I'm making the 2 hr drive to collect my prize. Help.

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Cancer

Your mind is working well, so give it plenty of exercise. You could get involved in an intellectual discussion that forces you to think things through for yourself, or you might have to do some serious thinking about a forthcoming travel plan. If you're often wary of saying what you think you'll feel much braver about speaking up today, which is good news if you want to fight your corner or express your point of view.
