Trey had straightened his life up miraculously. He was working and trying to do good to prove to low lifes like yall, that he could be somebody!!! And even if trey was mouthing at that damn murderer(which we will never know if he was or not), he should NOT have came to trey's house PERIOD!!!! That is a cold hearted murderer when you go to someone else's house, pull in their driveway and shot them in the head!!! I hope he rots in prison and I will do everything in my power to see that he does!! And for the ones who do care, treys family night went well. 100's of people came and showed their respects.

He didn't pull in the driveway. Idiot! His truck was parked in the street. It even shows it that way in the paper. Where are you getting your story from because its a lie.

It is if you intend on killing someone with it... dont think its hunting season here in the great state of texas so why would ya need a shotgun... seems to me this will be a case of first degree premeditated murder of which he'll get the death penalty unless of course he pleas down to second degree where hopefully he'll get life!

No its not hunting season in Texas, but in the little town of Paris, where there is crime everyday, a lot of people carry guns, if they're smart. Handguns, shotguns...whatever you have. If someone comes out on a public street, which is where Stevens truck was in the Paris news, and confronts you when you are taking pictures for court purposes on a PUBLIC STREET, what would you do? Bow down or stand your ground with the felon?

Ok why did that one post mention something about a double tragedy? There was 1 tragedy. Steven knew what he was doing, he made his bed he should lie in it. The paper stated that he was arrested on the scene. Why did he not leave? Did he stay there because he realized he just screwed up big time?

That may have been mine.

I meant that the mother lost her son to death and the other mother has lost her son to the legal system and a possible death sentence, depending on how the shooting is classified.

As a mother, I can say that they're both tragedies and losses to the mothers as well as to the children involved.
That's how I see it.

first of all..i just want to say rip to trey harvey and my deepest sympathy to his family and friends, all they need are prayers right now, not to look at topix and see everyone trash talking their son who they just lost! put yourself in their shoes you wouldn't want to read the same if your son had a less than perfect past! And those that are defending steven larue, yes he may have been trying to live right, but he chose to end someones life..murder someone I don't care who he pulled the trigger on! He took a son, brother, and friend! Trey may have not been an angel but he is not a murderer but now the victim of a senseless crime that could have been easily avoided! I am not trying to bash anyone really, those are just the facts & I am just curious if anyone has the real story about why Trey was shot..I have already heard two versions that it was in the girl's home and the other on the street. with one story saying he was shot from the front and the other from behind. Not trying to get personal but just want to put my mind at ease. RIP Trey...God will find forgiveness for you he knew your real heart and justice will be served!

So it's OK to shoot a man on his own front lawn if you park in the street to do it?

Unfortunately, the circumstances for death penalty probably do not apply in this case. The scenarios for death penalty are pretty limited.

So you're saying that everyone that has ever beat, abused, or murdered someone has been molested, beaten, and emotionally abused? You're an idiot. Leave the psychological evaluations to doctors.
I don't know any of the people involved in this, but this I know. The very largest percentage of people in prisons are the survivors of child abust usually at the hands of their parents or another care giver.

My brothers and I are adult survivors also, and we've never gotten into troule and have worked and done a good job, but that's the way people are. Some come out on one side and others on another.
