Maybe so, R.B., but you were the stalker who brought on all the hell raising and name calling by your constant stalking.
What is your point? Define "constant stalking."

Be careful how you throw around Saul Alinsky's name. Mittens father even consulted with Saul. More recently the TEA PARTY! The left has no monopoly on using Alinsky's techniques. After Obama took office in 2009, even as the Tea Party and conservatives like Beck attacked Obama for being an Alinsky-ite and a "socialist," they began recommending Alinsky's books as training tools for building a rightwing movement. Freedom Works, a corporate-funded conservative group started by former Republican congressman Dick Armey, has used Rules for Radicals as a primer for its training of Tea Party activists.
Adam Brandon, spokesman for FreedomWorks, which has been organizing tea-party activists and includes Mr. Armey as chairman, says the group gives Mr. Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" to its top leadership members. A shortened guide called "Rules for Patriots" is distributed to its entire network.
If that's true, and you offer no proof, it's a simple case of taking the tools the opposition uses and reworking them to benefit your side. I agree completely with doing that after they eliminalte some of the really nasty parts of his "principles". Do you?
A good opposition can be mounted without all the lies and hypocrises that this gang in DC has done.

Silly Sunrise, you need to improve your vocabulary. Here are some common definitions for "spend":
Spend:
    ,verb, spent, spend•ing.
verb (used with object)
1.
to pay out, disburse, or expend; dispose of (money, wealth, resources, etc.): resisting the temptation to spend one's money.
2.
to employ (labor, thought, words, time, etc.), as on some object or in some proceeding: Don't spend much time on it.
3.
to pass (time) in a particular manner, place, etc.: We spent a few days in Baltimore.
4.
to use up, consume, or exhaust.
Look through the above list & you will find at least two that fit the context in which the President was speaking. Or can you??? The word "spend" means more than what you are attempting to portray.
Sunrise wrote:
<quoted text>I was well aware of the definition of "spend" before your post. I also know the definition of "cutting" as in "cutting taxes." As I said in my other post, spending and cutting are opposites. You talked about the spending part but did not address the cutting part.

Elizabeth, I think you'd better just give up. Nobody can say you didn't give it a really commendable try, though. You just don't have anything to work with when it comes to silly sunny.
Once again, I have to think this country would be so much better off if people had to prove they are capable of basic thinking before being allowed to vote.

You are so correct! Several people on this forum are dense beyond belief and actually make this Topix predictable and boring. They are also typical of right-wingers who believe the GOP is the party of God and that other citizens (voters) are not patriotic. I believe Reagan sold the public on that idea. He was a lousy senile actor with a superficial smile, but middle America fell for his teachings. How middle-class Americans continue to vote against their own best interest is beyond me. At one time I voted right along with them, but there is no excuse now for their lack of information about right-wing propaganda and how the elites are using the middle-class. You are also correct about the need for a competency test for voting. The better educated young voters are beginning to turn things around though.

Reagan was a very good and well liked President. He was smart enough to surround himself with people who knew what was going on everywhere and could counsel him on the best action to take. He was wise enough to listen and act on their advice.
Senile? Not by a long shot. He didn't get Alzhiemers till he'd been out of office a long time. He had won his second term with the greatest of ease, because not just Reps. voted for him, Dems did too.

Apparently you weren't old enough to remember or know anything about President Reagan when he was in office. OR, and this is my choice, you're just dumb as a stump and a smart alect to boot.

Yes, lets do a competencey test for voting!! That would insure obama's sure defeat, because he's pimping himself to the illiterates and illegal aliens mostly and there's always those like you who enjoy TRYING to talk down to Conservatives. Bet we'd do better on a test than you dense ones would.

What about the other Republican hero, Dubya? Was he drunk or senile when he could not even speak a coherent sentence?

What do you mean by "pimping himself to the illiterates and illegal aliens"? Is the word "illiterates" code for minorities? And FYI illegal aliens DO NOT vote. Voter fraud is a myth. I believe you know why stopping voter fraud became a mission of the GOP -- to disenfranchise legal voters. Let's see -- can that backfire on the GOP? Whoever dreamed up that scheme must be staying up late at night trying to figure out how they can stop write-in votes without alienating the U.S. military. Surely, it has dawned on them by now that write-in voting circumvents their scheme.

I bet you even believe that mop of red hair on Reagan's head was the real thing.

I remember very well the time Reagan was in office and remember that he was a good President.

As to Dubya not making a coherent sentence, what about all the uh, uh, uh, uh,uh, over and over again when obama doesn't have a teleprompter to read from and someone elses' ideas to espouse? He can't form two sentences on his own with out someone's help. Remember, he didn't write that speech, someone did it for him. His success in reading them off the teleprompter aren't all that successful either.

You and your pseudo allies are getting dead boring, so I'm going to leave you and your invisible friends to play together.

Happy trails.

You need to take a Valium and try to relax. You are becoming more delirous all the time. Blaming Bush was not enough so now you going all the way back to Reagan and trying to say his hair made him a bad president. Everything is going to be alright. Romney has picked a good running mate.

You trying to throw out a rabbit trail to get attention away from the bozo in the White House? Obamadolt will go down in history as being the worst president ever, even worse than Jimmy Carter. Your rabbit trails, red herrings, and childish insults will never change this fact.

Shhhh....never mention anything again about a competency test for voting. Then tools like you would not be able to vote and re-elect me. I like my voters young and dumb, so you need to keep drinking the Kool-Aid and keep supporting me, baby doll. Keep up the good work !!!
