--Remember when the gas stations gave away free kites with a fill up?

--Remember when everyone burned leaves in their yard?

--Remember your parent's buying a "dollarsworth" of gas?

--Remember when cars had hub caps and they were always popping off the car. We would hide in the bushes and throw an old hub cap in the street to make the driver stop thinking he had lost a hub cap, lol? They would always stop..

--Remember when Whiteway grocery on North Main delivered groceries to your door?

--Remember sleeping with windows open and doors unlocked?

--Remember playing the 45 rpm records and hoping for a clear night so you could listen to "WLS" AM radio station in Chicago?

--Remember Nelson's Jersey milk & Ideal bread?

--Remember Sonic Booms caused by Jets breaking the sound barrier?
Would love to hear that just one more time, lol.

--Remember buying "Tuff Nut" jeans at Ayers Dept Store and getting a free pocket knife....or perhaps having to buy your clothes at Newton Wall Fire Sale Store on Bonham Street?

--Remember having to get new soles on your shoes at Holjie Brothers shoe shop?

--Does anyone remember a lady that sold "Salt-Rising" bread from her house?

Guess I had better stop, as you might think I'm rather old. Lol

I remember not having to pump my own gas in the winter time, and my windshield was cleaned and oil checked without me even asking. I remember how toasty-warm I stayed inside my car.(I hate to pump gas in the winter!)
I also remember when I thought I couldn't wait to be able to earn $7 an hour, because then I knew I'd be making the big bucks.
I remember watching Freddy Prinze Sr. in Chico and the Man.(oops..not Paris related, but a fond memory none the less.)

I too remember not having to pump my own gas - oh that was just yesterday at Brad Sessum's station in Blossom! For real still a "full service" service station.

Remember when Paris wasnt so full of crime? I would bet my life that in Paris the ratio between thieves to good citizens is about 1:3. This town is a joke. Criminals just took over. We should call Paris, Little Detroit.
