Anyone know what the big gathering was in front of the hospital about 2-3 pm Tuesday afternoon? A crowd of 30+ or so... will probably be in paper, but just wondering.

It is hospital week across the nation and HCMC partners were team building and celebrating. Healthcare is a hard, stressful field, and to make light of those who work in it is very unkind.

hey partner, I have been a patient there and so has family members, had a GREAT nurse on night shift, had a sour bitter pissed off ball buster who had no business working with people the rest of the time, and that was on MY stay. So I guess you are both right, it's a hard field, but if you have the personality of a Brillo pad and the sensitivity of a rock in ice water you don't need to be there! Some need to be removed and replaced with people that truly want to help people not just a good paycheck. Especially at the rate the patients have to pay for their stay there!

Perhaps if the favortism between department heads and staff would stop, more would appreciate working there.
