Thanks to all that have giving insight into Henry Co. and the Paris area. You don’t know how much that helps a couple ready to retire and pick a place they would like to live the rest of their lives. It’s a BIG decision and you don’t want to make a mistake…. lj

I lived there for 20 years, I was so happy to get out of Paris, it was the strangest place I ever lived. People rude, some really crazy religious people, everyone wanting to know your business.

well, now we have been here for a month and we like it. there's not a lot to do but we knew it would be that way during the winter months anyway. I don't see how ppl are saying everyone is rude.. everyone we've met has been extremely friendly and nice. there's no traffic and its very peaceful up here near the lake. nothing negative to say so far! my only suggestion for anyone else thinking about moving to paris, look for a place close to the lake!

Thanks! Rusty Farmer at Moody Realty is very good. Helped us buy our house. He is very honest and helpful.

We like the area alot. We have met some really good people who are becoming close friends. Everyone we've met have been helpful and curtious. I am sorry for those that have had less than positive experiences...I am realist enough to know that we'll run into folks that need a lesson in manners, but I suspect that to be the exception and not the rule.

Just wait till the local theives and drug dealers start stealing your stuff and breaking into your property. Them I bet you will have a different outlook on Paris as a whole. I'm not talking about the people, lot of snot wads, and some nice people. I'm just talking about the theives and drug dealers.
