My wife and I will be moving to Paris soon and we need help finding a house. If anyone knows any good, honest real estate agents, or has any helpful info we would appreciate it. Thanks!

Check with Bob Burton @ Landmark Realty, bought 4 places through him, good guy. Kinda went through hell on one (estate stuff), he was decent, truthful, and consistant . I'll use him again.

Paris is great IF you already have money and stay with the "right" group of people. It's a very political town. If you don't have lot's of money, then you are nobody. No real jobs here, retirement and tourism is the only thing the so called leaders of this town want. As far as the areas to live, any where out of the city limits is good. prices at the lake are WAY over priced so stay away from that area. Things to do? Small movie theatre, plenty of bars, thats about it unless you like snooty things like garden clubs. Hunting and fishing are big here. Really is a boring town.

Were in America is this not happening? We moved from Fl 5 yrs ago and have never regretted it.We live in Puryear just a few miles from Paris. My gkids go to Paris city schools and was not a mistake. If you are looking for big city living this is not the place. We drive a hr in 3 directions to go to a mall. After a while it becomes a way of life. It's small town livig at it's best.I do advise do not move in to the city of Paris.

You know a lot of folks in the garden clubs??? I actually do and haven't met a "snoot" in the bunch. Having ridden about a quarter of a million miles on two wheels i have met more than a few less than wonderful individuals riding harleys...

Mike, how is Henry Co. as a whole?
Good, Bad, or Indifferent?
My Wife and I were thinking of moving there and are looking for informed and objective opinions of the area.

I would be grateful for any additional information anyone could provide. Thx

I know this is an old thread, but....we recently moved to the Paris area and so far we love it. We have yet to meet a single person who has been anything but friendly towards us. I have spent 45 years of my 45 years traveling either as a military brat or active service member and this is the first time I had the chance to choose a place I wanted to live. We picked Henry County/Paris. I was fortunate to find employment, my wife is still looking, but we're optimistic. We look forward to many years here and hopefully the rest of our lives. Though you'll never realize it...if we ever meet about town...I promise not to be snooty.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Cancer

If you've been troubled lately, now's the time to seek a friend's counsel. Even just a little tea and sympathy will be nice, so plan to have lunch with someone simpatico. Everyone needs to spend a little time with someone who won't judge them; Cancer is often wonderful at giving this sort of unconditional affection but often has a harder time seeking it out. Accept a little TLC... you need it now.
