Dr. Gold is NOT a good "doctor". He is a shrink. and a crazy one at that. Most people around here just go to him for drugs and I have been told he will give whatever. Be careful seeing him. If you need help, go to someone else!!

Dr. Gold is an excellent doctor. He is not a "shrink". If you will notice his sign, it says "Behavioral Medicine", not counseling services. Dr. Gold puts much research and thought into each patients diagnosis and in prescribing the best possible medication for each mental health issue a patient presents to him. He does not give a patient "anything they want".

If someone does not want the best care or the most patience in diagnosing the many types and issues associated with one's illness, then go somewhere else.

Sounds like you are one of his favorite clients. I know Gold, and know how he works. So do many others in the health care field here in Henry County. Trust me, I know what he does. I have seen him prescribe to many times.

WOW.. he is strange, but im not severly mentally ill, try this med,and if it doesnt work,we will try another, and they are high potent narcotics.

Has anyone investigated his practices? Does anyone know why he had some kind of charges in the henry county court, Im confused on this person!

If the hrlyrdr knows something, why havent the medical board been notified????

Ive heard he is no longer at the 4th floor physc unit? is he still practicing at the hospital ?

While I have not personally needed the type of treatment that Dr. Gold performs he has treated family members. I find him a gentle caring person who listens to the needs of his patients and seeks the best advice and treatment for them! I do know he goes beyond the call of duty and office hours! To the question above the answer is yes he does in fact still work at the hospital and rightfully so! I think people who want all kinds of pills get mad when he refuses to continue giving them or makes changes from the ones they have come to love so well...if you are unhappy just find another doctor...simple solution as there are many other ones out there!

He is the WORST of the WORST DOCTORS I know of in Paris Tn. I would not send a dog to him, All he does is give any medicene he can and any thing they want not what he thinks they need. I know my daughter went to him for years and he messed her up on drugs, I went in that office having a fit on that man, he is nothing but a drug dealer with a License, and a damm pad to write them on. He needs help himself, I do know they took him off as being the primary care docton on the mental ward at HCMC. because they know he needs to be on that ward.

Depression can be treated without drugs. Quit feeling sorry for yourself, get off your butt, get out and find something to do besides sit on your butt crying.

You obviously know nothing of mental disease,/illness. Would you tell a diabetic to get over it, someone with a high blood pressure, or cancer? I feel for you dear sir. That type of disrespect for others, tends to come back around. I hope others have more sympathy and kindness for you than you do for others.

Trust me, I know depression. You can deal with it without drugs. I know, I had it for months, stayed in bed, cried, didnt shave, couldnt eat, then I decided enough was enough. Got out and forced myself to change. All without drugs.

Depression is a illness. And it can be treated with the right meds. Sometimes you know what the problem is and when it's salved then the depression ends. There is a kind that you have no ideal what causes it.This one doesn't get better by itself. From what I know of Dr.Gold he prescribes things that he shouldn't. I think it's to keep you coming back every month. A lot of his patients have TN-CARE. I know of one case where the patient goes to him and gets meds. and sells them to buy another med that they are hooked on. He also gives adderall and xanax, Am I wrong? Isn't this like a upper and a downer? This person doesn't have ADHD. I think his license should be taken away.

In my opinion, he is just a legal drug dealer. Thats all he is good for. Most who disagree are his patients or someone that gets drugs from him in some way or another.

My friend was addicted to drugs and she only would go to him because he would write her the prescriptions that she wanted with the dosage high.
Check with the TN state board to check any actions on his license.
