Hey all. I was wondering where the worst places in Paris are, and why you think they are the worst.
It can be restaurants, businesses, streets, etc...

Just like the idea of "how to make Paris better" this idea has metit. Paris is not perfect... no place is and there are many things not that good and many things that need fixing.

So, name the worst places, but instead of just naming those places... how about also giving ideas and suggestions on how to either fix them or make them better.

These places need to be pointed out so the city or county or those responsible can correct the problem, but just naming places is one thing, but giving ways to correct or make them better will go a long way in helping.

I can think of several, but I will let others give some suggestions then maybe I will add in.

The State Park! The rooms at the inn are run down, carpet is stained and rooms are moldy. It needs updating. As one of the nicest views of the lake, you would think it would be maintained better since many tourists use it and it is their first impression of the Paris area. Also, the trash and garbage along the shore is bad. We do pick up some whenever we go, but an organized clean up is needed bad. Since we are talking about things needed, how about ALL the gas stations cleaning up their parking lots. They are stained with grease, gas, spills, vomit, and no telling what else. Heck, all the parking lots at businesses need to be cleaned.

Stupid people who leave their shopping buggys out in the middle of the parking lot at Walmart instead of putting them up.

KFC unless they've cleaned up their act in the last 8 months.

Three years ago, went into KFC for lunch. Almost all tables were gunked up with leftover food pieces and wet from drinks. The floor under a high chair was a mess. The food bar was dried up and messy looking...needed stirring and refilling. No chicken was ready on the food bar.....had to wait 10 minutes. When they finally served it, we searched for a table and nearly all of them were in need of cleaning. Went up to get something to wipe it with. She gave me a rag that looked like she just mopped the floor with it. At the seating area, had to wipe food off the seats. It was so bad both my lunch partner and I called to report them to corporate.

Tried it again with family about a year ago. Chicken was raw at the bone and bloody. Same messy tables. Walked out and swore to never to eat there again. About 8 months ago, went in with daughter at her request... still leery though. While serving ourselves, we saw a chicken leg on the floor in the kitchen area. Instead of picking it up, the gal walked past it and kicked it under the food counter. The floor was greasy, the tables still mucked up and we had to take a alcohol wipe to clean off the table and the leather seats.

Three strikes and they're out. I won't go there again unless they do a health check like they do at many of the other restaurants in town. Just plain Nasty!

Matts Pub. If you ever wanna see what The Double Deuce from Roadhouse looked like before it was cleaned up go to Matts Pub on a Saturday night lol. Shitty establishment, overcrowded with drunk idiots and just nasty in general. Very good food though if you can get past all the previously mentioned.

Suggestion: It's good that people are making the comments, but unless you also write or call these restaurants or write or call their corporate offices... nothing will change!!!

Write it on this site, but also let them know you care and want them to clean up their act... if they don't... the Henry County Health Dept. would be my next call.

"I know a lady that was hired as a waitress on Friday at Ann and Dave's in Paris. They had given her uniform shirts and they her to start on Sunday. Saturday they called her and fired her. They told her she was not pretty and not enough class. I will no longer support their business. This is a shame because she is needing a job to support her family.

I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!! They are nasty and in disrepair. They never have biscuits on the buffet, or NAPKINS!(FINGER LICKIN' GOOD??) and you hand to BEG for any kind of chicken other than legs or thighs. They never have bread pudding, and you are VERY lucky if the ice cream machine is working. Dangerously GREASY floors, and nasty tables and who wants to listen to SOUL MUSIC the whole time? I HATE THAT PLACE! Disgusting. Worst place in Paris, hands down!

I agree. Its KC....and yes, I have called corporate. Nothing changed.. Very DIRTY! Wallpaper peeling off, black filth in corners, treacherously greasy floors. Tables were pretty clean, but seats?..no.
Most of all it PISSES ME OFF to pay for the buffet and then have to beg them for biscuits or a piece of chicken other than a leg or thigh. I can't tell u the times I've been told that bread pudding would be ready at a certain time and left without seeing it. If the ice cream machine is running and full of product it is a rare occasion.
I have had my fill of that nasty disgusting place and I hope someone closes them down!...and why do I have to listen to "soul music" the entire time Im there? I HATE KC! Hands down...WORST ESTABLISHMENT IN PARIS TENNESSEE!

I agree about KFC, too! Every single time I go in there it's disgusting. Food all over tables & seats.. Buffet lookin' a MESS..greeen beans in the gravy & corn in the potatoes.. Few yrs ago I ate there & got literally sick afterwards... Barf. I wouldn't go there, unless it was drive-thru, & i'm still not convinced the drive-thru isn't nasty as well.

Another crappy place is the Great Wall restaurant by El Vallarta. I've heard some baaaad bad things about their health rating.
