I heard that the demolishing of the old hospital was suppose to begin in August. As of now, nothing has been started on it. Anyone have any info about it?

It needs to be kept. Its the biggest money maker for the city of Paris. They just need to do it right. There was a group of ghost investigators wanting investigate it n certain people........wont mention any names but ouldnt let them. This group was going to give the city 20,000 dollars. The old money needs to be replaced with new money if that town is going to grow any.

I can't imagine that tb would still be thriving after so many years in a single location. Biggest concern is probably the asbestos being disrupted. I would think all remains of tb would be obsolete. But, I have never researched it.....

The tb is gone but yes the asbestos is the danger. It will cost the people of Paris alot of money to clear it out.

The TB still will be spread by the ghost that will flee during the demolition.

I agree, I would like to see it stay. Lot's of history and just the fact that it is our own small town haunt is interesting and exciting.

I have been inside of that hospital. I had permission of course. Went with a group of ghost hunters. Best experience of paranormal activity I've ever encountered. I believe they néed to keep it up. It's a very historical mark and keeps people wondering. Plus... Where would all the spirits go? Little kids, elder. They'll all have no where to go. And believe me.. They are there.

That place is awsome! I too have been inside it and have great evp's and saw mist twice in front of me for no reason and it left just as fast.
Dont worry about where they will go when it gets torn down, they will still be on the grounds.

You are not suppose to be in there its locked up. How did you get in there? Know someone with key? Inquiring minds would like to know?

The TB hospital/grounds are owned by the county; not the city. Would like to know why you think that the old TB buildings/grounds are the "biggest money maker" for anyone.

I think they should turn it into a place for ghost hunters. Waverly Hills in Louisville makes really good money every year. They book every weekend by the end of January every year. They charge $50.00 for 4 hours and $100.00 for 8 hours. We all have heard stories about this wonderful place. My personal opinion is the Comp Care building has more spirits than the hospital itself. I have heard that there are several videos from the jail that proves there is activity at those beautiful buildings and its grounds.

It's been there to long. It does have history but that place is nasty it would take alot of work to get it fixed up but that won't happen either. They got the grant to tear it down. There has even been homeless people living in there too

My grandfather was a patient there when I was a little girl. I remember visiting him, but we never went in the hospital. We took lawn chairs and visited him outside. We would run around playing on the grounds while he and my grandmother sat in the chairs visiting. I never thought about it, but I guess as kids, we were not allowed inside because of the risk of TB. I hate to see it go. Memories, history and ghosts! Love that!
