All that work 4 laneing the by pass and it one lane off 460 toward PARIS ?

Just question to all - has anyone besides me noticed that the four lanes all the way around the by pass does not look like only ONE (1) lane as you pass 460 coming down the hill toward Paris for abut 1000 or so feet toward Paris ? They want all the traffic to squeeze into ONE LANE for that distance ???? Another great IDEA !!!!!!!!!!

I had not paid any attention until your post. It does look like that part is only 1 lane right by the 27 S / 68 W sign, after the 460 intersection. There is plenty of land there for the 4 lanes, so it not understandable why they would not 4 lane it for just that short amount of space ?

How come ?

This will really cause a bottle neck of traffic coming off 460 into Paris, and the traffic coming toward Paris already on the by-pass.

It's shity ass work. there "F"in the state and Fed goverment out of money...they need to fix the road at the bridge by Save alot...( old food lion ) going toward Georgetown road..as you go onto the bridge it's rough as hell we need to file a class action lawsuit against Hinkle to pay for alinment on everyones cars and trucks.

If you "LOOK" The cement abutment is already in place, and it there for ONE LANE. Also just before the 460 intersection there is only one lane, barrells in the "second" lane and crossed off. IT is gonna be ONE lane through there.

It is not going to be one lane dumbass. And the next layer of payment will fix the bridge. All this is why they have signs that say "road construction" and not " road done". Why don't we just wait and let them finish before we BITCH

I am amazed that you find it Hinkles fault that there is only one turning lane. I guess Hinkle designed the STATE plans....I guess Hinkle allocated that fundage for this project. Before you people get on here and act like you know what your talking about please educate yourselves.

I work construction myself and I get really tired of the public and their stupid onions, and complaints. People, If you dont know whats going on then shut up, when its all done you will be talking about how nice it is. Oh and if you have a complaint you need to talk to the KY DOT not the contractor.

Its all money wasted. The money should of went towards fixing 460 to georgetown safer. Especially with all the truckers speeding and endangering lives.

They've been working on the bypass for so long that it should be done by now! Traffic has been so bad on the bypass that it became more time efficient to go through town... Until they started Main Street construction! Now you're fucked whether you go around Paris or through it. I blame poor planning, or a lack thereof.

With your expertise in traffic control, efficiency, engineering, road building or whatever else you know more about than anyone else, why don't you offer your expertise/knowledge to the state highway dept. so that they will not be so very inempt as they plan their next project? Better yet, offer your knowledge, experience, etc. to Hinkle Contracting. Bet they have been looking for someone as knowledgable as you for many years!!

I bet they've been looking for someone knowledgeable for many years, too, but never found anybody! Hinkle is so sorry an outfit that they blasted the rock on the bypass and huge pieces of debris went through a guy's roof up on Liter Lane, and they were shut down for that! Smart "engineers" there! Just have some fucking common sense. It's not rocket science, it's planning.
