What happened to Simple Simon's, it's closed, apparently there was a fire. It's gone downhill anyway the last few years. They have a pharmacy in the back, meanwhile there's a pharmacy 4 stores down.

yea there was a electric fire and the pharamy in the back merged with the pharamacy 4 stores down.
there was supposuly a clog in the air conditioning vents and caused the fire. it has been closed for a while now. i think the owner had something to do with it besause the place was ready to go.

Any updates on the place?? Fairway will be open before they will. Also what about the nearby liquor store vacancy?

yea they are still redoing the place it will probuly open in the summer. they still have to do the roof , they have along way to go. in my head iam thinking who is going to simple simon when fairway has everything and more then them, they are going to loose alot of buisness, they are have the same hours as fairway. the liquer store lost there license so they are closed for good and p and a auto parts lost there lease. The bank moved to route 17 so that lost alot of stores. and i heard kings pizza may close that location.

actually fairway bought the liqour stores license from what i understand a hell of alot of money. Simple Simon is opening, i guess they have too or the insurance company would question the fire lol. But everyone seems to be leaving the strip mall because the landlord is screwing them all on their lease renewals... if he keeps doing that i guess no one will be around.

Fairway did not buy the liquor license, they don't sell alcohol. Also, in the site formerly known as the liquor store, a Dollar Store is opening. Who is the landlord of the place? I don't get Simple Simon's at all. What _are_ they doing? I've been going there since the early 1980s! Even when it was briefly, Fresh & Friendly. Remember that? the perfect tenant for the place: Quick Check. What about King Pizza?

At one point Simple Simon's had a pharmacy, a video/dvd rental that sold cigars!, a pizza oven, a sushi chef, a postal center, even a Clinic. Meanwhile they didn't have enough people at the deli counter. I do miss walking for the paper and coffee. ps - what about nearby bagel place? Fairway has better bagels and only 50 cents.

i used to work at simple simon and i will never go back to that place it is digusting there were rats running around in there and even if they open they are still dirty, the owner was making something in the deli and used no gloves he made it with his dirty hands. now the bank is doing some kind of work now

How do you know there are rats living there? I will admit the place should just be torn down and rebuilt, it has seen its day. King Pizza and Tin's House have been there for a long time. Decades.

i worked there and there was rats do not eat from here they are dirty even if the palce is new the workers are not sanitary, they are opening tomarow, never work here they treat you bad

i had good friends that lived on Bush Place for
many years and they said there was always a rat
problem with that strip mall.
