I was introduced to a member of the mexican mafia in norwalk once. He wasn't all tattooed up with a bald head and khakis. He looked just like an illegal immigrant, about 52 years old. The kind of mexican you think would be picking strawberries in a field or peaches off trees. He was very polite and mild mannered upon first observation. A man of few words and a firm hand shake. He wore a long sleeve flannel shirt and a 1 color pair of slacks with a mexican cowboy hat on living on the border of Varrio Norwalk's neighborhood.

Lucy (from LA ) is absolutely correct!!! Hell,YES we should ALL care-because every person in this state IS affected by what the Mexican Mafia does. I'm sorry to say this,but even church organizations,real state companies,and other businesses have been infiltrated by their "homies" over the years. I know personally,of these no-goods taking up residence in La Crescenta 10 years ago,bringing terror and heroin activity to the area near Mayfield Ave. The neighborhood was intimidated and under siege,as the new arrivals threw their wieght around,sugaring gas tanks,stealing mail,killing pets and wildlife,entertaining the homies,family chaos and violence of the worst sort. Worse yet though,they have friends in law enforcement,politics,VO churches,etc. The La Crescenta Sheriff's Dept. is NO help,since they behaved like a private army for the "new arrivals,"and IGNORED coplaints made against the homies. All this could have been avoided IF the guy who owned the house they moved into as a mutual win-win investment took his paperwork to a Real Estate lawyer,who would do a backround check,and protect the homeowner from a bigtime scam that cost the owner his home,and upset the neighborhood. They were traumatized by losing him,and getting them. Defend yourselves better! Have all documents looked over by attorneys or legal aid. Do a search on real estate agents/brokers. Keep everything in writing,and do a sex offender search on potential landlords/agents / brokers. TheBBB is for sale-they protect dues paying members. You are warned.
