Calculate your monthly premiums and subsidies here http://kff.org/interactive/subsidy-calculator... note that the results are for the premium silver plans and they are affordable indeed and provide substantial care coverage.

How much will Obamacare cause my insurance rates to rise if I'm a UPS employee? And how much more will I have to pay so my wife can get her own insurance after UPS drops her because of Obamacare?

And how much will Obamacare cost a young single person who has chosen not to purchase medical insurance but now has to purchase a plan that he neither wants nor needs?

And how much is the Obamacare tax on my dad's insulin pump and diabetic supplies going to increase his out of pocket expense? Or my grandmother's catheters?

Yeah, Obamacare is the greatest tax hike in the history of the world.

Don't be such an idiot fuctard Calvin. And when are you going to get a job and move out of your mommy's basement?

I'm tired of paying for all if these dead beats doctor visits. I think Obamacare is a great idea. It will make them pay a little into the system for a change.

If you're tired of dead beats why not make welfare not so profitable and comfortable!!

Rates for the young will raise slightly. Rates for older folks will drop dramatically. The cost of maternity will be spread among everyone so that it isn't a extravagant luxury that costs more than insurance itself. Also, there isn't a young single person alive who doesn't need medical insurance. That's part of the problem, and as the calculator indicates, there are subsidies for those who can't afford it, with many getting insurance at no cost. Boo hoo if it costs those who can easily afford it a little more a month. Go find another shoulder to cry on.

Also, according to that calculator, my wife will get much better insurance for $25 per month through Obamacare as compared to $80 per month through my grandfathered (doesn't have to over as much) employer.

"Welfare profitable and comfortable"?
You bet ya. They're living the high life.
Exactly how far up your &ss do you have to shove your head to get such ideas?
It's a rhetorical question.

It will be $25 per week (not per month) under Obamacare through the Arkansas exchange after the subsidy credit according to that calculator. My mistake. But I also forgot to take into account that my employer charges separately for medical and prescription drug coverage, so it costs $100 per month through my employer. The cost will be equal ($100 per month), however the coverage will be dramatically better through Obamacare than my grandfathered (doesn't have to cover as much) employer.

If people want to claim that Obamacare is welfare, then have at it. Please be consistent and oppose laws that force private hospital emergency rooms to treat the uninsured.

But don't dishonestly pretend that it is a bad horribly expensive thing for poor/elderly people and whatnot, because it's not.

You're delusional...people on welfare aren't living the high life of profitability and comfortness, but rather quite the opposite.

Bullshit. They'll rise dramatically, and if a young person had made the decision not to purchase any medical insurance, his rates will rise from $0 to $300 per month.

More bullshit. Rates will not drop for anyone. They will rise dramatically for everyone, and for many people they already have.
The cost of maternity will be spread among everyone
Why should people who aren't having children be forced to pay for those who are? More liberal bullshit. Let the pregnant ones pay for their own medical needs and let me pay for mine. We call that fair.
Also, there isn't a young single person alive who doesn't need medical insurance.
Even more bullshit. Most young people don't need medical insurance because their risk is infinitesimal.

Just like a typical liberal fuctard, you spew a bunch of bullshit and expect everyone to be as stupid as you are and actually believe it.

If someone didn't have any medical insurance, then their rates aren't raising $300 (I am just using your number in this sentence and not agreeing that that is what it would be)-- they didn't have any insurance before to rise from (that is asinine).

If you support the right of people to not have medical insurance, then I hope that you consistently oppose laws that force hospitals to treat the uninsured.

Also, under Obamacare the premium for a 60-something year old can't be any more than 3 times that of a 21 year old -- and that is certainly dramatically cheaper than is currently the case.

As a conservative, I find it funny that you so vehemently oppose abortion and contraception and all of that, yet you whine like a baby at the prospect of your medical insurance raising dollars per month to spread the cost of universal maternity coverage. You want to force women to have babies, yet you want to deny them coverage (and have maternity coverage cost more than their basic insurance itself)? So you can save a couple bucks a month? Shame on you, especially if you want to be consistent and also allow hospitals to deny medical/maternity treatment to uninsured pregnant women. Good luck with that. And you conscious.

Now you want to also claim that the young don't need medical insurance anyways because their risk is infinitesimal? Is that supposed to be a joke? Because if not, then you are certainly representing yourself as a joke.

Again, do you want to be consistent and also oppose laws that force hospitals to treat uninsured pregnant women and the young and everyone else who can't otherwise pay?

Put your money where your mouth is. Oh yeah, you have already displayed that don't do that.

People purchasing coverage on their own will be eligible for government subsidies (through a tax credit) towards their health insurance premiums based on income. Subsidies will be provided to people with family income between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level. The most that these families buying subsidized coverage in an exchange will pay towards a health insurance premium will range from up to 2.0% of income at 100% of poverty to 9.5% of income at 400% of poverty, with amounts at specific income levels specified in a table in the law.

Young adults under age 30 are eligible to purchase an extremely inexpensive catastrophic coverage. With a catastrophic plan, you would pay out-of-pocket for most health services until you reach the annual limit on cost sharing ($12,700 in 2014). However, preventive services are covered with no cost sharing required.
