First mistake Superior,listening to Ex-Mayor Burget.For 10 years he/HE has sold Libby to over 300 people/families who have moved to Libby being told by HIM that Libby is a safe place to live and raise a family.Safe for who?The over 2000 people sick and dying today from Libbys deadly air.Burget is all about the money,not about the health and safety of people and the CHILDREN.What is wrong with this picture.I will tell you.Those lies are killing MORE people because Libby is not safe to anything that breathes.Wake up people...

Be truthful with yourself - I know it hurts to see Libby recovering, but let just face the facts - regardless of what ever Mike Crill says from Va. will not change the fact that Libby is a recovering town near the end of its clean up. Thats a fact you just cant ignore. You can carry the issues that Asbestos is bad... thats fine, no one disagrees. But dont think for a minute that anyone holds the town of Libby responsible. Its like saying Hiroshima was responsible for the atomic boom. Its too big of a leap in reality - even for you. Make your peace with Libby now before you die, move your life in a positive direction. Im sure your family would appreciate the change. And please ... I know this will be hard... but keep any response to this posting inline with its contents. The Libby bad - I hate Libby diatribe is wearing thin...

200 people... THATS IT... just 200. At the high end 2k to 3k.... thats it. How many MORE people have been saved by the fire retardation properties of Asbestos. Oh I dont know maybe MILLIONS. On balance we get it... Asbestos from Libby - bad, but for crying out loud. Libby is still in the last part of its clean up. You can piss and moan about how bad the EPA is and what a crock so and so is, but at the end of the day - this is what we get. You can make small modifications via CAG and TAG, but still IT COMES OUT THE SAME. Work harder to separate your asbestos obsession from your Libby hatred and work harder on the effect vs the cause. Libby is moving on.... The link between Libby and the "effect" is getting smaller.

Mike - you clearly do not get it.... I made my decision and moved to Libby knowing that at one time they had an asbestos problem.. But its well on its way to being cleaned up... Will we have set-backs... sure, but we will continue to move forward. As far as new people moving into Libby - all I see around me are new homes and reconstruction of others - not only here in Libby , but all around Lincoln county. The last 2 years I have been here have been an eye opener to how well a community came together to address and fix its issues - just what I would expect from any community.
Your continued bitterness towards Libby shows. You will walk around and continue to carry it for the rest of your life. It good news is that you are all alone in your thinking. No one else thinks that way.
As far as the grand kids you are so concerned about - in Spokane as we speak. They get on the Empire Builder tonight and arrive in Libby in the morning.... The house is all set and the Holidays are upon us - all six of the kids will be in town. First Christmas in snow. Its simply stunning this time of year. Libby is home.
