thats far from truth there 'facts'. We know Rough is 'the man'. And we also know he has done & did nothing to help remedy the situation, the sitiation that keeped growing in our small town, and to thid day is still a problem (at least it's a problem for the citizens, don't think the cops see it as such) We do not support him or the job he's 'done'. Apperently Rough doesn't see a problem either... or Carrigan Would already be gone, along with his infamous dueo.
Sounds like you see the picture from a different vantage point than the average citizen. If you have valuable insight to enlighten the citizens please proceed. Can you tell exactly what Rough is expecting Carrigan to do in light of the current "conflict of interest"? And do you consider Carrigan capable of doing it? Why doesn't he offer any assurance to the citizens on their valid concerns especially since he's so close to retirement? Thank You. |

I don't know the Chief's thoughts. I am in the political science master's program at Chico State and I have a passion for politics and the election process, especially in small local governments. I don't claim to know everything, I just dig for facts. That's what I do, by nature I suppose. Not to babble, I'll let you know if I find more information out. Sometimes it takes me a while because I cross reference my sources to ensure that I see what's really going on, the truth in other words.
That's commendable. You sound like a real thorough kind of person. You are wise to cross reference and cover the material before presentation. Sound like a kindred spirit. Have learned that too through the years. Glad to hear you have chosen the recent "political" issues of Paradise to conduct your study. Your findings will be interesting and appreciated especially to an organization of citizens formed in Paradise known as the CCOP. If you need any information to assist you in your studies from this group please do not hesitate to let it be known on the "blog". The group is somewhat "private", but if you let us know how to reach you arrangement will be made to accomodate that. Wish you well on your study! |
If your organization, CCOP, is for the citizens of Paradise, why is it "private". Why would you not welcome anyone who wanted to be a part? |
Due to the sensitive nature of the issues that created the group at this time there is a caution in place. It is not that the group does not welcome others who are concerned about the same issues, it is just that until some level of trust is established with local law enforcement and some measure of resolution reached there is a precautionary screening process in place to eliminate potential threat to existing members, many who have been violated in some way themselves and prefer their privacy to be protected. |
Potenial threat from whom? |
And why would you even inquire about something like this? Isnt this a private and personal issue in the life of someone? This is bordering on gossip here. I didnt think the personal lives were anyones business. Re-read some of the threads on the other blog site regarding Feather River Hospital. Butt out nosey people! |
So then tell me this, Why was everyone so interested in the reason the female Officer was "let go"? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? You all went on and on about a relationship she had with another Officer. And your right a persons personal life is not the business of everyone else. So because "just the facts" wants to know where you got your so called research you want to shut it down? Make it look like he doesn't know what he's talking about? The bottom line is who cares if they are married, that just proves that you didn't know anything about their relationship. Have a heart, and pray you never go through a divorce where everyone makes it their business.

Work em so hard that they screw up big enough to get the town sued off the map, yeah...that's the ticket.
I didnt even post on that subject except for the fact it is no ones business. Im sure since you have dis'd me on the subject your posts were right at the top on this one. |
Sorry, I guess that's what happens when people on her constantly change their screen name. It all just seems a little crazy to me. Does anyone really care? I think the answer is no. You have to sift through a lot of BS here to get the truth and what people are really saying. No dis on you :) |

Are you sure your're not Nancy Kerrigan? Remember the ice skater that Tonya whacked, all Nancy could say was, WHY, WHY, WHY?

I bet most of you pukes attacking the police force couldn't pass a backround check to get the job. These men and women encounter the lowest of the low everyday to make it safe for the rest of us. All you complainers why dont you volunteer for the departments and see what happens on a daily basis. The stress would overwhelm 99% of you. By the way who gives a shit who is dateing who, is your life that dull that you have to intrude on others personal lives. How many of you BLOGGERS have actually been pulled over and encountered bad treatment or are you a bunch of sheeple that believe everything that is printed?

Sometimes there is the good, the bad, & the ugly in blogging. I do a lot of blogging on all kinds of subjects, recipes to Nature. Every once in a while I come upon an article that relates to the subject. This blog I thought was exceptionally good, & I hope those reading it agree. If you disagree, that's your choice also. It was posted by a an officer in the Daytona Dept. over an incident where a Lieutenant was fired. He started the post as: There are 2 types of people in uniform. Those that put on the uniform, & realise it doesn't make them more important or more special than anyone else. They define what that badge means through their actions on & off duty. Except from being more distinctly aware of what goes on around me, & slightly more aloof on duty, I am mostly the same person on or off duty.I have most folks call me by name, as my given name when I was born wasn't Officer, It's Peter. For the others, that uniform & that badge makes them somebody for the first time in their lives, & they treat people however they feel at the moment. The badge is a free pass on behavior that they wouldn't have tolerated before they came on. Unfortunately, there are more of them than the latter these days. I don't know if it's the training or just the caliber of people they are forced to take anymore, but something is different these days. The Daytona Beach got a severe lesson in humility, but I would dare say that there have been more incidents in his past & this was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back in that department.....(End of article). My thoughts are that Peter, as an officer is a gentleman. I would hope his brothers show him respect, as he seems to understand what his career is all about. Maybe others see differently, but in my eyes he is a gentle man as well as a gentleman. He is a tribute to his profession.

My guess a lot of the pukes you are speaking of could definitely pass a background ground check, or they would not be so interested tospending their time in hopes to clean up the department they are trying to clean up. If you have read as I have a lot of them are former police, upstanding citizens, etc. There have been many who have been pulled over & mistreated, thus their fighting for changes. Do your research. I have. This group is fighting for civil rights. If you are up on researching you will notice we are becoming closer & closer to martial law. This group certainly aren't the "sheeple" you imply. They are a well read group if what I am reading & researching is true. They certainly know what the word slander curtails, so I would imagine there is much cross referencing going on to put the facts on line. I'm not selling them short. I am all for a change if it is a good change. I do agree with you on the personal point.

Gee Paradise mom...your genuine concern for this issue is overwhelming? Thought about a job in politics? Not that you have a hidden agenda or anything. |
& yours does the same. how about try talking to those in the discussion, and leave the rest fade away. too much of that on blogs to go off on a tangent about. |
