It's about time the FBI comes in to investigate the good old boys of the PPD. Maybe they will uncover the corruption in the department

Good! I hope the FBI uncovers the corrupt activities of the Paradise Cowboys, er, ah, Police Department. Those guys are out of control nut cases, as well as one particular police/fire dispatcher who think she owns the city radio system. When the FBI starts sniffing around, there has to be something that's true about these claims.

Pickering was not telling Baltierra's girlfriend to stay back he was telling Baltierra "PAY BACK" he was answering Baltierra's question of " WHY ARE YOU GUY'S DOING THIS" hopefully the jury see right through Pickering's lies on the stand. the battery issue is just another excuse for not audio recording an incident and it's lame

I bet you were bullied in school and would never cut it as an officer, so you have to get your hatred out somehow, just get over it and get on with your life, you can't go on hating forever it will destroy you, if you knew how your comments look on this end you might actually stop and think before you write, you are just sreaming for attention.

Would it be whatever to you if you were facing 6
years in prison for charges you honestly believe
you are not guilty of? Why don't you get the full
story about what Schumacher said & what Pickering
said as well? Pickering is no angel either. He is
known to provoke his subjects although he is
supposed to defuse situations instead of escalate
them. He has a track history of overreacting &
exxagerating issues which is a form of lying. He
is trying to say that Schumacher threatened his
children by name. Schumacher doesn't even know his
children's names & if he did he would most likely
not have been able to recite them being as drunk
as Pickering claims he was. Something's fishy.

Yes, Pickering has been busy lying in court to
cover up his illegal actions. If he was so concerned about the subject's safety then why would he say as soon as he opened the back door of the squad car to Schumacher,"You crossed the
line."? That sounds like threatening language to
me. Sorta like pay back in the JB case. Sounds like he pulled over not because he was concerned
for JS's safety but because he wanted to show JS
who's "Boss" & to get in a "Payback" before it
was too late. Had he waited a few seconds more to
get to the jail he may have missed out. And the
judge has granted a motion by the prosecution to
exclude Pickering's background from the trial but
to allow Schumacher's background to be laid bare
for the jury to see. What kind of justice is that?

Schumacher is an interesting case, since he is a repeat offender, with a D.U.I., alcohol found in vehicle, corporal injury, no valid drivers license, violation of parole, felony charges that
sent him to prison, and now another felony charge hanging over his head, is this the kind of person you all are standing up for?. He sure doesn't appear to be a model citizen in my eyes but may be
in yours. The man has major issues, and no one knows what was said between the arresting officer and Schumacher at the time of the arrest, so why all the speculation about that topic?. Or do some
of you think you just know it all?. Wow these comments sometimes amaze me. I sure wouldn't stand
up for a person with this kind of record, he deserves everything he gets, and should take responsibility for his actions. Don't understand
how you can blame the police on this one. Wow!!
If you don't believe me check his rap sheet.

Whether Schumacher is a stand up citizen or not, is not the issue. The issue is that everyone has rights to be delivered to jail without getting beat up enroute. Drunk people are not fun, some of them bang the back seats, yell and scream, blah, blah, blah. But we hold our officers to a higher standard to not stop enroute and beat the crap out of them, just because the officer is aggitated. I don't have to look at a "rap" sheet to tell me anything about this simple fact. Even the badest of bad guys still deserve to be treated humane. These tackics are ole school in L.A. and their officers have had to either be fired, except early retirement, or do more training classes. These waters of treatment have been tested and revised, so to let this begin here is a sham and needs stopped.

You are still holding a grudge about this little beat up thing. Hey, Laughing Dog, you puked in my car, you were lucky I didn't shoot you. I just had the car cleaned and detailed. Hey, it hurt my feelings.

Try to understand that all are not standing up for offenders. It's a fact, many deserve their punishment. It's the manner in the way they are treated in arresting them. People are human. You do not have to break arms, you do not have to pound & use extreme pressure after you have a person handcuffed. If you are getting beat up of course you are going to scream or cuss. When handcuffed you have no way of defending yourself but with your mouth. This is when dirty cops do their dirty work, when the victim is defenseless. Why is it there are just a few being investigated in these situations? Why is it just a few are involved in all situations? That should answer the question that these are power hungry cops. The professional cops seem to be able to handle situations in a professional manner. If officers were using there recording machines & video cameras it would answer many questions. The excuse that the battery was dead is a pp excuse. That would be like going to the hospital & having them tell you we can't give you your x-ray or ekg today as there is no electricity. They'd use generators. Its the department duty to keep supplies in working order.Don't they have a extra supply of batteries? Dirty cops know exactly what they can get by with & they do until it becmes so flagrant that something has to be done about it. Why would the police chief say he had put in three complaints of his own? Doesn't that prove he knows he has a problem. I stand behind officers that handle themselves as professionals. I detest dirty cops that give those professionals a degrading reputation. They both pull their pants on the same way. No matter who you are, whatever your background, a human being is a human being & should be treated as such. Dogs are treated better than some of these humans.

So you will bring up all of Schumacher's past but
not even give a thought to Pickering's. If
you are willing to consider his past you'd see
there's not only one party in this case who has
issues. If you're not going to look at the past
backgrounds of both then past issues should not
even be considered at all only the facts of this
isolated incident. Regardless of what both of them
have done in the past the fact that Pickering chose to pull over within seconds from the jail &
violently inflict bodily injury upon Schumacher is
very suspicious & unnecessary. If he was feeling
threatened as he claims he wouldn't have tried to
handle the suspect alone but would have waited for
assistance by staff at the jail. But no. There's a
reason he didn't wait the few seconds more to get
to the jail & by looking at his past he has been
known to just lose it over minor issues. If only
you knew what was in Pickering's file you might
be able to think more equitably about the matter.

And who said the officer beat the crap out of him?
Schumacher himself?, just how credible is Schumacher?
He probably never lies I'll bet, what would be his point in lying? Or maybe the officer lied?, but is the officer credible?. What woud be his point in lying?. Again it's just another he said she said scenario, the most convincing story wins, the one with the most credibility wins. Who knows?, and who really cares?. Funny tho what a convenient mind Schumacher has on the night in question, he claims
he doesn't rememmber due to being drunk?, and I suppose the police just made the whole story up huh?
Yeah that must be it. Wonder if the newspapers even got the stories correct in the first place? Who knows?.

Yes, you're very perceptive. Ramsey knows he's got
2 other cases to try & cover up besides Schumacher
so whatever happens in the Schumacher case affects
all the rest. He doesn't want to lose this one, but to resort to hiding Pickering's record in
court but allowing Schumacher's to be spilled out
for all to see is nothing more than another
perversion of justice by the DA. If they're not
going to allow Pickering's background in the
courtroom then they shouldn't allow Schumacher's
either. Don't understand why Atty Sears is not
objecting to this or why the judge is even allowing it at all. It's just not fair at all.

Ah, I have struck a nerve. Interesting. Gee, there must be something to a story that shows evidence of him being beat up enroute to jail or we would not be blogging. Creditible people huh? Well, as I have blogged today in Chico ER, everyone is willing to talk about the JS's past, some claim it is mental defect that runs in the family.........As I have said in that blog, "Let me check my crystal ball....yep, mental defect and illness runs in the officers families as well. Oh, yea, family members being arrested for drunk and disorderly also. Yep, there it was in my research. Oh, there is more, anyone want to comment about how creditable these officers are using family histories, or the officers' history. Gee, sounds like fun to me.

Oh, and another thing. Why would an Officer lie?
1. To Save his Job
2. To keep from getting sued.
3. To keep his weapons permit.
4. So he doesn't have to be an analyst on Fox News.
Give me a break why would an officer lie. That is the corniest statement I have heard in a very long time. You can't be thinking like that. Keep taking those drugs, that is why they call it "dope." GEEZZZZZZZZZ

I WOULD NOT DOUBT THAT THESE OFFICERS DID USE ACCESIVE FORCE. IT SEEMS THAT ONCE THEY GET THE BADGE ON IT IS A FREE PASS TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. YOU SEE THEM SPEEDING AND RUNNING LIGHTS ALL THE TIME. THIS WOULD JUST BE ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE OFFICERS ABUSING THEIR POWER
