Okay, so a sixteen year old boy gets forcibly kissed on the mouth by an intimidating pedophile, who is also a martial arts expert. The boy is so intimidated by this predator that eventually he leaves home and only comes back when his mom promises to get the creep out of their lives, but when she tries he just keeps showing up again. I can almost see the swagger on this son of a bitch; that little women and her boy aren't going to stop me, I will come and go and do to them as I damn well please.

I don’t know about anyone else but I am sick and tired of pedophiles getting protected by the law. When law enforcement can’t protect the people, then they damn well have a right to protect themselves. Ramsey, you and your team aught to feel ashamed of yourselves for saddling up to this sex offender; for shrugging your shoulder at his victim, then throwing the victim in jail when he successfully fends for himself.

Predators of Butte County rejoice, you can now not only molest your victims, you can threaten them with life in prison if they try to defend themselves. Good message Ramsey, you should be making the innocent feel safe not those who are preying on them. Discussing is the only adjective I can think of to describe the District Attorney's decision to prosecute.

Well, that's the angle that Cavalli's gonna try to work. It seems fairly ludicrous that a kiss on the mouth equals death--especially not knowing the context of the situation.

It seems MORE likely, knowing Cavalli's racist background, that Cavalli hated seeing his mother with a black guy and when there started to be problems within the family, Cavalli went too far while trying to rectify the "problem".

So old step dad was known to have kissed the kid on the mouth; but what pray tell, had he been doing to the kid that no one knew about? Kids that age are usually too scared or embarrassed to admit that they have been accosted or victimized by a pervert. So let me sum this up so I can understand it, Hudson was known for domestic violence against the kid's mom and now it comes out sexual misconduct against the kid who pulled the trigger, and I'm suppose to feel sorry for him? Hell will freeze over before that happens, unless there is clear, convincing evidence in the trial to prove otherwise.

If you believe a male adult kissing a teenage boy against his will (and no one knows what what done in private), please remind me to never let you babysit my kids. Easy there, chief. I didn't come to the defense of anything. YOU are putting words in my mouth...that's gotta be assault of some kind, eh?

All I'm saying is that they said it ALLEGEDLY happened ONCE. No way is that grounds for murder. If there was a history of sexual assault, you can bet your ass that would've come up at the hearing--regardless of how embarassing it could be to admit--especially with Cavalli's life on the line.

So...watch how you go around implying things about people. Maybe you just haven't thought about something thoroughly enough.

Because a sexual pervert is black and his victim white it doesn't make his victim a racist. And if that was the only black person in the victim's life and the victim becomes a racist then the cause for the racism resides with the pervert not the victim.

The only question is why arent there any hate crimes charges. The witness testified he walked around the corner and was shot immediately after Hudson turned a corner towards the front door of the house. He was waiting for him.

funny how the mom didnt intend to protect her son second she never noticed the things in his room and he was gone for a while this sounds like a hate crime and i hope the DA adds that to the charges. this needs to stop now Paradise is known by many local Blacks as the place where you can be killed for being black and now it has happened. Paradise residents i hope these assumptions are wrong but those who have information need to step up and seek true justice.

Tom it is obvious that you look at one side and run with it. Did the man kiss the kid maybe but why didnt the mom report that sooner why bring it up now to defend her son most parents will do this. the real message isnt in the kiss it is in what was found after the kiss and the shot items that tend to go one direction towards the death of a person of color had those items not been apart of this young mans life then we could look that this young man was afraid but this has hate crime all over it and you sound semi racist in what you have said.

I do agree with concerned American. I have lived here for over 30 years and have seen the racism with my own eyes, more than once. No one wants to admit it, but it is true, and sickening. Stop denying it people!

I've lived here for several years. I attend churches, charities, parades and try and do as much of my shopping in town as possible. I have never heard or experienced anything racial, nor have my family or in-laws visiting from the East Bay. Admittedly, there are a good number of people up here who can use some refining and education, but where is all of this racism suppose to be occurring? Am I going to the wrong hair stylist, diners, drycleaner or church? Where is it?

If mom was married to a meth-head, its obvious she was in the same boat. A dead husband, son in prison, loss of roof of her head wouldn't matter. it's only that next hit thats important. No kid, even if mom is a crack head or meth-head wants to see her abused. What's funny is the race card being pulled. That went out with the gerry curl, polyester bell bottoms and blue eye shadow. It's even old in Oaktown and East PA. You people need to up your game.

I've heard the stories going around about this kid trying to sell a self defense motive, it's not going to work as this story unfolds. Simple fact he waited for him, shot him and ran away. If it's self defense you put the gun down and wait for the cops. As for the racism in Paradise that's just a bunch of talk, there's no more racism here than anywhere else in this country. Playing the race card in this case just isn't needed. No matter how you slice it, he waited for him and murdered him--and then ran away. Get the needle ready !

You are giving Cavalli WAAAAAY too much credit here. That kid's been a racist for years. Anybody who knows him will tell you that. The whole kissing/pervert theory sounds like a load of BS to me. Like I said, one kiss doesn't deserve murder. And, if there was more sexual abuse, I guarantee we would've heard about it by now (the kid's life is on the line, for Christ's sake!).

This all reverts back to domestic violence which law enforcement and the courts minimize. The victim probably should have been in jail or prison to begin with. And the mother who exposed this child to all this crap and probably more for years has no accountability. She should be on trial with her son. The victim is "good riddance". I'm not to enthused about the direction this kid's life was taking and certainly he was making his choices, but it is possible this could have all been prevented if law enforcement and the DA had dealt with this family years ago. And while we are at it, what about CPS? How many times did they go out and ignore the domestic violence and it's emotional damage within this family? This is a huge tragedy and a parody of what our society has come to.

Since his Mom didnt even know of his tatoos and all the white supremacy crap he had in his room ,shows how ignorant she is ,and why she was with a black guy that was likely a real prison Lover.she is the reason the kid is so screwed up and now he is going to join his buddies in the Big house for a few years.thanks to his mommy she was so invovled in his life.he killed someone.Im just glad he killed a LOZZER not some local youth at some party.
