This is great, the reward does need to be increased.
In the CNR yesterday the Streettalk column asked 5 people whether they would turn in a friend for arson. Only 2 people said absolutely YES. This is such a shame; do 3 out of 5 people in this country really think it is OK to break the law? Do they think it is OK know about criminal activity and not tell? What if it were their home and they knew who did it - would they still keep quiet?

I would turn an arsonist in for free.

There's gotta be a tall oak tree left somewhere around here... I'd be hard pressed to make it to Cal-Fire with who dun it before taking care of those responsible myself. We couldn't be so lucky as to have 2 p.o.s. arsonists in a row save the tax payers so much money by hanging themselves in jail. The fire only cam to w/in 100 yards of my house, I can't imagine how I'd feel if it had burned another 100 yards.

This gives me an idea. The County can take the money saved on housing and prosecuting the last one and put it into the reward and give it to organizations like the Red Cross.

I would really hope that the person that set that fire come and take a look at all the destruction they caused! not just the wildfire look that we see on skyway but the moonscape that it left here in town!

If each person that has enjoyed the views along the skyway would up the ante there would be enough incentive to turn in your own Mother if you thought she had done it. I would add $100 to the pot.

I read that in the CNR too and was mortified! One guy said he wouldn't turn in his friend if the person committed arson, he would leave it up to the person to himself in! I would like to beat the tar out of the arsonists, but that guy as well! What a creep!
