The trucking industry very much affects The Panhandle. For example, passing through Perryton, Vega and Groom around 50 percent of the traffic is semi trucks. via KVII-TV Amarillo

Truckers are just another cog in the wheel. They are not special, not heroic, not knights of the road. They are doing a difficult job, but then, so is the drive thu window person at Mcdonalds, or the nurse, of the taxi driver.

Not much.They are a self important group as a whole. They are just another cog in the wheel.
