I am doing some family research and have been desperatly searching for some info on my husbands side of the family. He would love to know more information. His mother was born in Pana, Illinois. Her Mother was Clairie Lucille ALLEN and she does not know who her father was. She was raised by her Maternal Grandparents, Granderson Edgar ALLEN and Ruby Alma DAPPER-ALLEN. Her name was Mary Dianne ALLEN but she was called "Dianne" by the family. She went to a Catholic School somewhere near where they lived in Illinois. Her mother had a sister named Jean ALLEN and Jean married a Joe Mendoza aka Moe and they moved to Carson City Nevada, where he as a police officer. Her mother had two brothers named Gerald Edgar ALLEN and Jerry ALLEN. Dianne married a man named HURST and had two daughters Mary Jean and Christina Marie, they were raised by her mothers sister Jean Mendoza and quite possibly took the name Mendoza. Dianne later married a man named Leo Doyle TINKER. This is all we know. We do know that Granderson is buried somewhere in Chicago. I would love to hear from anyone who might have known these people and can give me some more information on them. Dianne was born in February, 1940. Thank you!
