Review: Van WITZ Real Estate

When I asked that my down payment of $5,000.00 to be returned to me (the purchase deal fell through), the company made me wait two weeks for my check. When I finally got my check and cashed it, two days later I received notice that the check bounced. When I called to inquire where my money was, I was told to leave voice mails with the owner and her sect. I left 7 voice mails and never got an answer. Now I have to file suit to get my hard-earned money back. SO BEWARE.

Run fast. Lots of negative things for a few years.

You may not have to sue. State regulations are quite clear as to where earnest money is placed. Usually in an intrest free escrow account. The only hang up you should have is if the other party to your deal refuses to sign the release. That is not the realtors fault. In that case you may have to sue. Otherwise, if it is just the RE company holdin your money, you might try their local board of realtors and/or the state who goverens professions such as Realtors.

Yes, run really really really fast. My condo association is currently experiencing a lot of headaches as they were our management company. They did not pay any of our bills in the last few months where our gas was shut off, our water and electric were threatened to be shut off where we had to pay out of pocket since Van Witz will not return any of our calls and our money. We have at least 17k in reserves and operation. Pam Van Witzenburg is a crook.

I wholeheartedly agree.....especially that she is a crook, a liar and a cheat!

Pam is NOT a Van Witzenburg, she just married one. Unfortunately she is a bad seed that is dragging the whole family down. She took advantage of her loyal husband and the entire family.

I have know both families.Her family came in the late 60's. The Van Witzenburgs are/were long time old residents of CR and a very nice respectable family. They have donated to many of people and organizations. They have employed many of people. They will be in the Who's Who of Chicago Ridge. Her husband a good man and loyal. The in-law family is tired of bailing her out. They stopped years ago. Can you blame them? You are right Married Name. I am sad for all that was dragged into this, and the whole Van Witzenburg family. 1 bad apple. Not the whole bunch. If Pam reads this stuff, please do something to 'make it right'.

Has anyone noticed that Palos office is now closed. Big old dumpster was there and most of the office was sitting in there. Can we say eviction.... Relocated at the Oak Lawn office now, and from what I here its under Foreclosure. What ever happen to the #1 southside office???

even though she only married a vanwitzenburg. she still has your name. so sorry to tell you the name is going to be forever linked with the huge theft from innocent people. hundreds of people on the southside living in condos with no gas,insurance,ect... so enjoy reading that in your who's effen who magazine in frickin' chicago ridge!! donate and help these people!!

Absolutely correct.. her husband is a wonderful man and has a great family. She is not connected to the family business, but unfortunately people are judging his family because of her criminal behavior. People should leave his family out of it.. they have nothing to do with this.

too bad our condo board members are so lax in checking the reputation of these management companies,most of these company's are not honest or reputable...we are probably better off self managing so these dishonest people cant get their hands on our money...

Totally agree of the Van Witz Family they have been pillars of our Community. They were caught off guard and enabled her, bailing her out for millions for years ,until finally got fed up. My prayers and Christmas prayers for them, not her.

There was a bit of action in the Tribune, allegedly little young mama got busted screaming on a cell phone in the middle of the street, had a little drama, got arrested and spat on a CR Police. Maybe Big Mama should of spent more time at home?
