<quoted text> So where’s the part about the students born into families that can pay for the good grades, even if their kids don’t deserve them? Or the students who drop out, but are handed family businesses anyway? How about, the kids that can’t afford college, but are smart enough to be great students on their own merits. How about the student that get caught cheating in college, are kicked out, and then become a Wisconsin Governor?......How do all these fit into your scenario?
What are you babbling on about? No system is perfect. In my experience, I have found that people that do not deserve things that have been handed to them, whether it is money, a business, or a college education, ultimately end up where they belong. We don't need the government to come in and equalize everything. By doing so they make everything unequal. Look how poorly Lyndon Johnson's Great Society has turned out.

Yeah, Regan got his hands on it, and created the Great Corporate Society. Our votes don't matter any longer. What business want’s, they get. Money over overpowers voters now.

These kinds of policies dominated from the late-1940s to the 1970s, a time of broadly shared prosperity and a strong middle class. Those policies were then systematically reversed, income inequality began to explode and productivity growth slowed. Tax cuts for the rich and assaults on programs for the poor and middle class worsened inequality during the years of George W. Bush.

The answer is not more of the same failed policies. The solution is to revive the successful ones, along with policies to stimulate the economy and stop foreclosures. Mr. Obama understands this. The Republican hopefuls are deluding themselves and trying to delude the voters.

What policies are you referring to?
The Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 that led to hundreds of thousands of people buying homes they couldn't afford?
How about the expansion of Social Security to the point of unsustainability?
Maybe you are referring to the policy of no new nuclear plants or oil refineries?
Maybe you mean the take over of healthcare using Medicare or Medicaid?
The fairness doctrine?
How about we go back to the 90% income tax rates?
Or the continuing soaring deficit?
Or are you referring to some of the new policies like
Obamacare?
Redistribution of Wealth?
Even larger Deficits?
Oil Drilling Moratoriums?
Stimulus plans?
Renewable energy policies that gives millions to companies like Solyndra?

So which policies do you mean?

OBAMA’S PLAN
Commitment:As someone who was largely raised by his grandparents, Obama has first-hand knowledge of how hard America’s seniors have worked. He will honor their lifetime of work.
Protect Social Security: Obama will preserve Social Security by stopping any efforts to privatize it and working in a bipartisan way to preserve it for future generations.
Secure Hard-Earned Pensions: Obama will fight to ensure that companies don’t dump their pension obligations.
Help Americans Save More: Obama will make retirement savings automatic.

Raise the cap on the payroll tax on wealthy individuals
What we need to do is to raise the cap on the payroll tax so that wealthy individuals are paying a little bit more into the system, if we are going to deal with this problem specifically. Right now, somebody like Warren Buffet pays a fraction of 1 percent of his income in payroll tax, whereas the majority of the audience here pays payroll tax on 100 percent of their income. I’ve said that was not fair.

Obamacare?

An overhaul of Health care thereby bringing down private health costs is in the agenda. He signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act aimed at creating 3.5 million new jobs, making important infrastructural investments and giving tax reliefs to 95% of working class Americans.

The President aims for a long term plan for the country concerning clean and renewable energy. By developing alternative sources of power like solar, bio fuels, thermal power etc he plans to lessen imports of foreign oil thus reducing existing deficits.

• By focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, and curbing emissions the country would curb deadly pollution thereby playing an active role in climate change issues.

Accountability people.?

I bought a house at this time and did not over borrow above my means to pay the mortage.

Most folks need to blame someone other than themselves for borrowing to much money on faulty loan terms. Stupid people will always be amongst us.

With fewer than nine months to go before Election Day, The Signal predicts that Barack Obama will win the presidential contest with 303 electoral votes to the Republican nominee's 235.

How do I know ?

. Campaigns and candidates evolve, and elections are dynamic events with more variables than can reasonably be distilled in an equation. But the data--based on a prediction engine created by Yahoo! scientists

This things finally went live (I'm not sure how long ago). I do know the fact it was not up happened to be an ongoing joke for most of 2011.

I'm still not sure what Johnson is doing in DC. His videos state the obvious... the country is politically divided and the economy needs fixing.

I'd love to hear an actual plan from the guy. Maybe I'll send him an email. I hope his reply won't take as long as it took his site to go live.
