Son told suspects not to hit father

Our society has gone striaght to the Dogs! There is absolutely no respect for human life. Just the thought of losing your father to some unworthy punks right before your own eyes. What a nightmare for this family. May all who was involved suffer for their wrongdoing.

FYI for those who care........I just learned that both SCUMBAGS have pled guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter and will each get 2-4 years in prison followed by several years of probation. Justice is served!! May Mr. Higgins now rest in peace!!!

Why don't you ask the family of Mr. Higgins if 'justice' was served? 2-4 years and several years of probation is a slap on the wrist. They don't deserve to ever see daylight again.

2-4 years is NOTHING compared to the pain and suffering they have caused! I hope they at LEAST serve the MAX and have a real miserable time in prison. They are real lowlife scums.

2-4 years in a COUNTY jail is hardly justice. At least if they were being sent to a state prison they would have a chance of getting the same treatment that they gave Mr. Higgins.

The only justice that came out of this trial is that those two young men admitted they were responsible for the death of Mr. Higgins. I don't think the charges that they were offered are severe enough but then I'm not the DA. I thought he was representing Mr Higgins' family not the two people that did the beating.
