Lower Towamensing sewer project set back by study

Lower Towamensing's long-awaited plan to install sewer lines in parts of the township has been delayed again.

I knew someone in the early '90s who lived on Pine Street in Aquashicola. Several times when I visited I noticed "gray water" filled with suds coming out of pipes from houses and dumping into ditches along Little Gap Road headed for the Aquashicola Creek. Nasty!

Hopefully state grants can be found to help these people (many poor or on fixed income) enter the 21st century. L.T.T. shouldn't be stuck in an Appalachia mentality any longer
