Dr. Ric is a nice guy but keep close account of all your payments, whether by card, check or cash. After a physical and a follow-up, and several bills paid in the office and by mail, others were sent to collections more than a year later without anything sent by mail or even a phone call. Contacting billing was a waste of time. Medical yes. But the office needs some better help.

If this is part of HDMG they will forever mess up your billing.

Got that right. Everytime we show up at urgent care. They tell us we owe money from our last visit. We pay the copay everytime we show up. hmmm?

Also watch your x-rays. I have taken copies of x-rays to specialists and returned the x-rays to Garrison in person (as agreed on) only to be charged for them months or years later when they "come up missing" in a check of the files. There is no way to fight against this and I've been in the office when this was happening to other patients too. Not an isolated occurrence.

I also end up always owing something when we go to urgent care, even when I pay the bill from home via mail. When I question it, they simply state they show an outstanding balance and it needs to be paid. Whatever I paid was probably put towards a prior visit.

On top of which, they send me bills that are 6-12 months old that I have never seen before. I have had to go through them and check to make sure I haven't already paid for the services (several times I have, but the office claims I haven't and the payment I sent in was for a prior visit). You can't reach anyone by phone and have to leave messages, sometimes you get a return call and other times you don't.

Love Otis and Deb but the billing and financial aspect is a headache every time. I only go now for necessary scheduled appointments and watch very carefully what I pay.

I quit going there. As stated by previous posters, it doesn't matter what and when you pay, you always owe them money. Last time I was there for a scheduled appointment, I waited 3 hours. If I hadn't needed refills I never would have waited.
