Palmdale: Popular Middle School Girl's Body Found Wrapped In Rug
An investigation was under way Friday into the slaying of a popular middle school girl whose body was wrapped in a rug and dumped into a ditch beside an onion field in a remote area east of Palmdale .

How sad and how scary this is for us here in Palmdale to hear about this. As stated above, kids, PLEASE listen,obey your parents. Dont go off on your own. It is too dangerous out there. Especially in Palmdale....there are too many sickos out here. My kids think I am being overly protective but I tell them.... all it takes is an instant for some psycho to grab you and for something terrible to happen. Parent, please continue your best to keep your children safe. I hope and pray they find the person who did this to this little girl and their family. May the True God comfort this family in this heart breaking time.

I'm afraid for our 8 year old daughter. We live in Palmdale also. And its the dumping ground for predators. Its really horrible. We don't even allow our daughter to play in front of our house anymore unless my wife or I are out front with her. Its just not safe anymore.

DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS SLEEP OVER ON PLACES OR FAMILIES THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY CONFIDENCE. BE PROTECTIVE

My daughter Dymond Johnson was very close friends with Stevona at Aloha Elementary in Lakewood, Ca. before the family moved to Palmdale. My daughter Dymond caught the news segment last night, needless to say she took the news rather hard. Stevona was a very vibrant and yet sweet little girl I had the pleasure of meeting on a couple occasions and she grew dear to my heart. Our family thoughts and prayers go out to the family. If possible can information regarding the funeral services be sent to my email address SHUNELL2@AOL.COM so we can but especially my daughter pay her last respects to her good friend Stevona and her family. I DIDNT KNOW STEVONA BUT I KNEW ONE OF HER RELATIVES..I DONT THINK THATS RIGHT AT ALL FOR SOME STUPID PERSON TO TAKE THIS INNOCENT LITTLE GIRL LIFE.I FEEL THATS REAL MESSED UP BECAUSE WHAT COULD THAT BABY POSSIBLY HAVE DONE TO DESERVE THAT YEAH HER FAMILY IS RIGHT SHE DIDNT DESERVE IT SHES STILL A BABY I JUST CANT BELIEVE SOME ONE WOULD DO THAT AND HAVE THAT ON THEM LIKE ITS ALL COOL I DIDNT KNOW HER BUT I FEEL FOR HER MOM AND HER FAMILY BECAUSE THATS JUST PLAIN OUT FUCKED UP EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE BUT ITS TRUE..SO I HOPE THEY FIND WHO DID THAT TO THAT LADY'S BABY SO SHE CAN BE A LITTLE RELIEVED..MY HEART GOES OUT TO STEVONA'S FAMILY MAY SHE REST IN PEACE

kids please listen to your parents we only tell u this things for a reason because we care 4 you kids. as a mother now it feels like iam forced to keep my dauther in the house because is not safe in palmdale. But i send my prayers to the beloved parents of stevona im here with you and in my prayers.
