Another LATINO radio station...just what this area needs!!! Hope the Valley wakes up some day and realize they're being overrun by welfare recipients. God knows they have alot to offer the Valley as well. Higher crime rates, more drug addicts, more gangs and the list goes on and on!!!

I was part owner and General Manager at WEST from 1987 until 1990. Dick hammer is one of the finest people I have ever had the pleausure of working with and knowing in my 39 year broadcast career. He is one of the best play by play men in the country. Thanks Dick and Good Luck !

It figures that a 70 year tradition just got stuffed in a taco shell. I don't understand why one would think that the "untapped market" of welfare bumbs, drug addicts, and gang bangers is going to bring a once beautiful city back. Easton has so much history and tradition. I always had the radio in the kitchen set to WEST and never turned the radio off just the volume down when I was not listening to the radio. Listening to WEST was like being with a bunch of old buddies. Wake up Easton!!!! The city is dying and the roaches have taken over. The city is all but dead. The only way to clean the city is to flush the tirds. Thats right...get rid of the scum bag drug dealing pieces of crap..THIS IS AMERICA LEARN ENGLISH. Viva Easton!!!!!!

Ignorance abound! Yes, it's sad that WEST is changing formats. The reality is that there is a huge, growing, hispanic audience that is responsible and contributing to the growth of the LV. There are more hispanic opening businesses and doing stuff than the dumb dutchies who sit on their buts and eat halupkies! The reality is taht in Easton there are more white trash losers collecting welfare and taking drugs than these hispancis being criticized. And the taco references are so stupid! While there may be some Mexican Americans in the LV, the vast majority of Hispanics are from Puerto Rico. They eat rice and beans and meat pies.

This station will be missed by many different people, with many different taste. For me it will be Dick Hammer and the Local High School sports he called so well. Sad to think come friday night you won't hear Dick calling a Easton or P'burg football game. How very sad that is for everyone. The owner of this station has let everyone down in the Easton P'burg area. WEST was more than just a tiny little AM station, It was the life blood of our community.
I say thank you to all at WEST for being so loyal to your community in broadcasting.

WEST had many local business advertize on there station. If you are a advid WEST fan, you know who they are and you can call them or write them and erge them not to advertize on this station. The new station will find out, it takes more than pinto beans to operate!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
