So sorry to hear of his loss. The force will miss him but mostly his wife and children. God be with you during this healing time. Once again, I am so very sorry for your loss. Sincerely, From Tarpon Springs.

So sad to hear this.

It is unfortunate that people equate losing control and crashing to speeding causing a crash. If speeding caused crashes NASCAR, AMA, Moto GP, and all the other racing organizations would not exist because all of the racers would be dead.

What is most disturbing is how sick some people can be. To be happy about hearing someone died? That is disgusting.

RIP rider.. and his family..
it's sad reading some of the stupid comments made on this topic. the same people bashing this rider that lost his life. are the same one's who speed when they drive, or run red light's, stop signs. NO one deserves to die just because he was speeding..
think about you comments before you post them.. what if it was your son, daughter, brother, sister, mom or dad. would they deserve to lose their life because the were speeding?

Have some respect for this guy and his family..

He lost control of the motorcycle because he was speeding which in effect is what caused the accident. Unfortunately when your riding a motorcycle you don't have the protection of tons of steel around you to protect to when these kinds of severe crashes happen. I'm not saying that he wouldn't of potentially faced the same fate, because it is highly possible.

But to say that speeding didn't cause his death is ridiculous. If he wasn't speeding, he wouldn't of lost control and hit the median and been ejected from the bike. so yes speed is what set this chain of events into motion in the first place.

You can lose control from low speeds as well as high. You can hit a bump, you can hit an oil slick, anything can happen at any moment. If speeding caused crashes then racing wouldn't exist.

I SAW THIS ACCIDENT HAPPEN .. I WILL TELL YOU THIS WHEN YOU SEE A HEADLESS BODY IN THE ROAD YOU STOP JOKING ABOUT IT VERY QUICKLY... PEOPLE DID NOT KNOW WHERE THE BODY WAS. PEOPLE WERE GETTING OUT OF CARS AND LOOKING DOWN INTO THE WATER. I WAS WITH 3 FRIENDS AND A 2 YR OLD CHILD.I NOW HAVE NO INTEREST IN GETTING A BIKE. 1000'S OF PEOPLE HAD TO WITNESS THIS DRAMATIC INCIDENT. HONESTLY ILL NEVER BE THE SAME

i was on the bridge when this happened. it was my friends first time driving to the beach with her lisence. to look out the window and see dead body 2 feet away from your car and friends on the median crying is somthing i never want to experience again. even though he probably could have prevented his own death by having better judgement no one has a right to say they are happy he is dead. shame on you. my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

I was at this accident seconds after it happened.... Tragic is putting it lightly. I will forever remember the girl that was running up and down the bridge screaming "where is he" "Where did he go" never will I ever forget her voice. My heart bleeds for everyone on that bridge last night to have to see a young guy decapitated and his friends that had to see their friend that way. My prayers are for him, his family and friends. Yes, its stupid to speed and break the law but I think it should be a law to wear a helmet in this state, it may not have mattered in this case but you never know.

Katheleen, Did he deserve to die? or get a speeding ticket? I ride my bike down the interstate at 20mph over sometimes to keep from getting rear ended by people in cars, should that soccer mom with the unbelted kids die because they passed me (at around 95)?
I never said he deserved to die or that he deserved a speeding ticket ... clearly you didn't read what I said. I spoke of the speed factor in the accident and the fact that unlike people in cars he didn't have the advantage of tons of steel surrounding him to protect him. Next time you chose to comment on a post at least be accurate

Loose control going at low rates of speed yes it is possilbe, however being decapitated is highly unlikely without the spees factor.

I'm going to quote you on something you said to another poster:

I said speeding didn't cause the crash. I never said speeding didn't impact the severity of the crash.

So, as I said before, speeding does not, has not, and will never CAUSE anyone to crash. If it did racing would not exist.

The sad part about all of this - is that people in cages think they still own the road, and have no respect for people on bikes period. If they did, cottontops wouldnt be running over bikers - soccermoms wouldnt be riding our ass's and we wouldnt be getting moved down from behind while sitting at redlights.

Your people in cars/trucks/SUK-UV's dont pay attention to shit. Stop talking on the phone, and running your mouth to the person next to you - and you would be better drivers
