<quoted text>Actually, Bush flew to Texas almost every weekend. Let's say it costs $50,000 each time (which is a low estimate). By anyones standards, that is not a 'cheap vacation'. I tried to be behind Bush, but the way the election was rigged and his haste to take our boys to war (my nephew included) as well as his barely literate speeches, I just couldn't stand the guy. I was a Hillary girl but got behind Obama. He's doing alright and he's made a few mistakes but I expected as much. He's young and we knew that going into the booth. Is he a miracle worker? No. For the sake of our country, I'll settle for hard work and genuine commitment. I really never got that from the last administration.
Yeah Bush didnt do himself any favors with his lack of public awareness. I think u could say he wasnt very political like in that regard. Obama is rather like Clinton, very saavy and comfortable in front of the camera. As long as the President protects our soil I am happy with that. But I do agree that i think that Bush Jr had revenge to get back at that idiot Sadaam. But even we democrats agree (Obama, the Clintons0 that the world is a better place with Sadaam "gone". But unlike the democrats, the republicans dont wait to get the internatin community on board with us before we go ouot and place cowboy.

I think bush was aware of the publics awareness, he just didn't care, especially after he won his 2nd term. The things he said about 'political capital he'd earned and intended to spend it' was disgusting and Dick Cheney, when asked about the publics disapproval of the iraq war actually answered "So"? That's not leadership. That's arrogance and indifference to the Americans that elected you. I was embarrassed to call them our leaders and the day Bush left DC in that helicopter, I cried tears of joy. That was a beautiful day!!!!

It is his money, you don't know what he donates. Stop saying black rich people should help black poor people. If someone said white help white wouldn't that be racist? People are people!

That is true but I would hope all people would give back to the community when they have the means and opportunity to do so. Not inly is that good fellowship, but they also created a "positive" image of themselves.

As the Beatle John Lennon once said "U dont take nothin with u but your soul...THINK"!

Why do you think Michael Jordan is building his home here in nice quiet, crime free Jupiter where it is 99% white?

If he reads your posts, he'll re-think that move. Just because you live in Palm Beach doesn't mean you are an upstanding citizen, as you have proven in all your racist, hate filled posts.
Do me a favor. Move to Idaho where it's oKKK to hate black people.
Here in a democratically controlled county, people are open minded and have little patience for ignorant white trash such as yourself.
I'll take a black Michael Jordan over a white David Duke any day.

If the richest black people spent their money helping uplift the poor blacks then I woundn't say anything about rich people splurging on themselves. Only a few rich Blacks spend money helping other Blacks. I'm mostly talking about investing in Black areas like Magic Johnson does and a few other rich black guys. I've never heard of anything Jordan has done to help Blacks, same as I never heard of Michael Jackson doing anything either. And us Blacks worship them cause they are rich.
All wealth belongs to God and you will be judged on how you spent your money. You can't take it with you but you can try to help the poor.

Yawn you sound jealous! And believe it or not rich blacks do not owe poor blacks. And it would be nice if they help out the poor but they are not entilted too. If one is sick of being poor then they should get off their butts and get a better job or education.

Very true the media hardly ever reports on charitable celebs as well as many celebs would prefer to keep that info private.

I am just disgusted at black people always thinking rich black celebrities owe them something.

Maybe jayrag's comments are too extreme, but it can never hurt when a black person that is successful takes a little time to give back to a struggling community, meaning that just making appearances (not money) can help provide enthusiasm for our youth. We had Bob Sanders from the Colts come by awhile back and it really motivated the kids that they could be like him one day.

Certainly Michael Jordan can do whatever he wants with his time and money, but God has blessed him into this positionin life and he has the opportunity to do a lot of good for others... If faith and morality might be what he is into.

I think it is really sad that so many black people feel as though they need celebrities to tell them that they are special. Why not look for inspiration in black school teachers, policemen, firefighters, etc? This is why most of them don't deal with poor black because they are always looking for a handout.

Wow; you believe all wealth belongs to God, but at the same time you "worship" Michael Jordan. You surely have your ideas confused: the idea is to worship God, and understand, Micheal Jordan's wealth is his to spends as he likes.

Aries

The prospect of travel really appeals to you today, especially if you don't have any holidays booked for the foreseeable future. So be careful if you're out shopping and you happen to walk past a travel agent's, because almost before you know it you could be sitting in there waving your credit card around and consulting your diary for the best day to take off for the wide blue yonder.
