In the interests Jake and Eli, Bob's children, the victim's family, as well and Bob and Suzye's, would hope this publicity ends. In turn, no book is planned from this quarter.
Unless there is something further, why don't we put this thread to bed? |

what's the big deal re: the phone to ed. the prosecutor surley did not elaborate on it. otherwise i am sure ed would had been called back to testify |

Wanda, If you've been reading me, you know that, in my opinion, Assistant Prosecutor Burns did an inadequate job. This isn't the only salient evidence she missed. She missed supporting the ear witness next door whose testimony had shifted before and at trial. That neighbor explained her conduct by saying she was afraid of Bob. A prosecutor worth his/her salt would have never left such an important witness bereft of credibility. It would have been an easy matter to have introduced expert testimony on the effect fear has on such a witness in her senior years. That witness had no other reason to shift her testimony than fear. Her testimony about feeling badly that she failed to come to Toni's aid was wholly believable. The detail she got into about what she was doing at the time she heard their argument was wholly believable. All the jury had to hear was why the neighbor hadn't testified correctly from the start, and an expert witness on the psychology of witnesses in fear would have gone a long way to sealing the case. There were a number of other things Burns did or didn't do that augered against a prosecution, for example carrying a knife before the jury (not the murder weapon) while intoning Bob knew how to use a knife. What a pitiful defeating display. Did she meet the Defense's close, which was so effective in raising doubt? No, she read a prepared script that failed to address the defense's close. I could go on and on, but let's just pull the plug on this thread. |

are the police still looking for the murder or is the case closed again

they don't care any more, they have closed the case, the georgia police are still keeping the case open, it's a similar case which happened just after the florida. hopefully they will never give up till the catch the real murderer. we still get waiting to hear, my family was a victim too

Wanda, From previous posts, you know, the jury returned a "not guilty" verdict. Not because they thought Bob innocent (they didn't) but because the evidence to convict wasn't sufficient to remove reasonable doubt. Believing similarly, why would you ask if the Palm Beach Sheriff is pursuing this bankrupt case further? Seems to me that in Wanda and Georgia girl, we're witnessing the Heartsong camp trying to muddy this authoritative thread's waters. The unbiased of North Palm Beach recognize the truth too.(See proximate previous posts.) |

In every arena of knowledge but that which is defined as such, anything is always possible. None of us is all knowing, simply taking the facts and working with them as best we can. Anyone wanting a deep appreciation of this case needs to go beyond TV and read this entire thread. As this thread's founder and as one whose opinion turned 180 degrees as he took it on the chin within, I think the thread is the most thorough and authoritative dealing with any contemporary crime. |

they another similar case in miami, and few more out in in state of washington, the fbi are getting involved, working on more details, could be a pattern, my family is bring in a private angency to follow up and forcce the police to to but more into the investigation

Georgia Girl, Don't mean to get on your case but your rhetoric is hardly competent evidence -- rather oblique generalities. If several crimes are being viewed as a pattern, please specify the victims' names in each. I happen to hold the opinion that the above is simply Heartsong obfuscation so this thread ends favorably for them. No way to be know sure, of course, so I'll follow up with Detective Springer or whoever else may have the case file. The more facts you post here, the more answers you'll get in response unearthed in research. Expect a full report here. |

Georgia Girl, Such a personal crime with Toni's eyes virtually erased, and you've got the FBI on this now as a patterned crime with others around the country.
I find no merit to your claims, nor does the oblique nature of your allegations inspire confidence in their truth. Given names and cases, you can always take this the 119 route (the request for information of the Palm Beach County Sheriff with which we started)or you can reach the FBI through the federal freedom of information act. Then give all of us the facts, as we're all eyes. Until then yet another attempt at obfuscation.

similar case in 2001 elmer and joette thasher, there are more but police won't give me names in those cases, only info that involves my family
|

Repeat your refrain, if you will, so-called Georgia girl. To any reasonable reader, including the jury, it's all too clear for words. Not enough evidence presented by Burns to convict but enough to see clearly what happened, i.e. opportunity in the time line, marriage stress, ear witness, the alibi that wasn't (Toni's new Mazda that became Jake's before Bob's cancellation the next day), Bob's convoluted conversation with his business associate, Peter, after the murder, in which he claimed he was on the way to Delray Mazda when he had already been there, and especially his direct look into 48 Hours cameras with an air of sincerity where he claimed falsely to have driven straight to the Delray work site that day.(48 Hours was dishonest in presenting that clip, because it was privy to Bob's three police interviews where he contradicted his own on camera claim.) Georgia Girl, this is your opportunity to follow your claims of FBI involvement and a patterned crime with facts. We're all awaiting the cases and names of victims that connect in your alleged pattern. For sure, no one is all knowing, but we need to deal with facts and not unidentified conversation among unidentified people. When you see the heat I've taken at times for unintentional errors in my presentation, please present yourself with equal accuracy and specificity, so we can all mull the facts. Thanking you in advance. |

not sure what you are talking about, all i know is police believe this could be a series of muderers, the details i have is just what i'm told, the police and fbi don't go into details about other crimes, they just tell us there are many similarities in a few cases, my thoughts are not to take a side on your case, but to hope to find out who hurt my family
i do know the brother of the victim is pushing to open the case, esp. after finding out the state got 13 million dollars for their cold case department, so if you really want to know more contact the brother, i know almost nothing of this case except that we were told of the similarities. please stop talking down to me, i have done nothing to you, if you want more facts contact james deligio at the atlanta fbi, i don't feel it's my job to repeat to much on a blog, who knows maybe you could help them |

If you're interested in another crime, why not start another thread? Let us all know where it is so we can join.
I know everything about this crime but nothing about the crime to which you refer -- and I always try to address everyone respectfully. If you gave us your real name, I wouldn't have the suspicion that your pseudonym, like others, is interposed to sully truth here. |

Georgia Girl first of all Bob Sherin doesn't know everything about this crime he just thinks he does. He should know the police or the FBI do not give out information on a open case!

LArmstrong, On this one we agree: "Georgia Girl ... doesn't know everything about this crime(;) he just thinks he does." But for whatever it's worth, Lynda, the police and FBI do furnish information on open cases.
While I'm sure they redact crucial information, police in Florida respond to the public under the Sunshine Law, F.S. 119, redacting certain information, including that required by statute. As you'll recall when the Heartsong case was open, I was able to obtain the entire police file, also the file on the DNA grant the Palm Beach Sheriff had obtained which led to a fresh look at Heartsong case. And we all see FBI reports on America's Most Wanted, as the show endeavors to track down wanted fugitives. |
