They better check out the "Black Thunder" ride for structural damage. The reports are that that the 1 adult and his 3 kids weighed a total of 850 - 900 Lbs.

Jesus christ, what a supersized pack of slobs. I hope this was a wakeup call that they need. Next time they go to the hospital it will probably be for a triple bypass or an operation to remove mayo from their arteries...

A few years before Six Flags it seemed like there was a water slide on every street corner. What ever happened to all of them? I would think they could still make money.

A seems that a lot of us here are either native Floridians or have at least been here for quite a few years. I also loved Six Flags AND Pirates World!

They all closed down decause 4 overweight people tried to go down the slide on one raft got hurt and will end up suing the park for their own stupidity, and winning. Insurance for those places is so expensive that the small fun parks can not afford it. I was at Wild Adventures Tuesday and was not able to wear my hat or sunglasses on any of the rides because they were afraid that I would drop it, then go after it and get my head taken off by a roller coaster after climbing over two fences that were clearly marked "KEEP OUT". Sound familiar...

latest news report was that some overweight slob and 3 of his overweight siblings from NY can't read the warning signs . Or they were just being typical Ny'ers who think the rules don't apply to them and did what they wanted anyways . I vote for both.....

I'm a native. I remember Pirate's World, but I was pretty young when it was still open. The best times I remember at PW was after it closed. We used to go there and party in high school, take chicks there, etc. It was so cool with the decaying remains of the rides there and moats and whatnot.

BTW, what about Castle Park? That place was a HS hangout for us, too. Well, we SAID we were going there a lot, and sometimes we actually went there after we went where ever it was we really went...

I think you need to mind your own business and stop caring about other peoples weight you are probably a real florida loser. im sorry you feel so bad about yourself that you have to make fun of other people when you get a life or a heart grown up and comment!!!

Article provides absolutely no information as usual with this third rate newspaper that is going broke and deserves it. Also the family looked like a group of sea lions on the strechers that exceeded the weight limit by 5000 pounds. Bunch of fat slobs overloaded the raft and it capsized. Hit Jenny Craig and come back for a free day at the water park whale family.I am surprised they didnt collapse the ambulance strechers or give the rescue guys hernias.

So does that mean that you aren't going to retire down here and tell us how great it is up north? That would be a real freakin loss. Please don't die in the snow, we really want more retirees from New York down here careening into buildings with their cars and running their yap about how great it is where they fled...
